Have you bought anything at Gamestop lately? Well, if you did, you helped Gamestop's net earnings rise 53% year on year for the fiscal fourth quarter with net revenues coming in at nearly $130 million or $0.81 per share, just above Wall Street estimates.

Sales for the same quarter were $2.3 billion. That's "billion", with a "b" (why does everybody need to say that?). That's pretty amazing when you step back and take a look at it. $2.3 billion, for one game store, for one quarter. Wow.

Gamestop also announced optimistic guidance for fiscal year '08 and '09 which has caused the stock to surge 11% at mid-day.
