Via Kotaku, Ubisoft has unveiled a mysterious site for a new game. The site has streaming audio of a woman's voice giving news.

I've pinpointed the date to 2027, in some sort of post-apocalyptic world where the interim US capital is in Boston and there is an effort to get the government up and running. There is a very Children of Men feel to it.

Other references include electromagnetic explosions, terrorists, the World Cup, both the summer and winter olympics, the Joint Strike Fighter program, and, of course, the obligatory Bible reference: Revelations, chapter 6, verse 4.

And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.

Oh, and then there's the face of the guy in the middle of the site. Needless to say, I'm hooked.

UPDATE: if you pop the numbers into Google Maps as coordinates ( 28.555833, -80.604722) it points to the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, right next to the JFK Space Center. The base is called Patrick Air Force base and its motto is "Control of the battlefield begins here."

Dun, dun, duuuun.
