Just a few minutes ago, at the World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC 07), Steve Jobs announced that Electronic Arts (EA) is fully committed to developing games for the Mac. You can look forward to Command and Conquer 3, Battlefield 2142, Need for Speed: Carbon, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Madden, and Tiger Woods '08.

After that announcement came footage of a new iD Software engine, iD Tech 5 which will be on display at E3 on a Mac, PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. There will also be another Mac announcement from iD at E3.

Looks like the Mac is finally getting some gaming respect now that they run on Intel chips and they're selling really well.
