Wii shortage to continue through 2007

Didn't get a Wii last Christmas? Well, you might not get one this Christmas either.
It seems there is a massive shortage of chips out of Taiwan, not only for the Wii, but for other consumer products like laptops.
Due to that fact, the ramp-up in production that Iwata promised earlier in the year has yet to materialize, and may not happen until next year.
