Thanksgiving week was a good one for our video-making friends in Japan. Nintendo report that they the US, it sold 350,000 Wiis and 653,000 DS systems.
That makes for the best Thanksgiving week ever for Nintendo and eclipses the 600,000 mark that the GameBoy Advance set in 2005.
It also represents the most Wiis sold in one week since launch one year ago.
I don't see much of a slowdown going through the month of December either. For those 350,000 lucky families who got a Wii, how many tried and failed?
Also, I think the Zelda and Nintendogs DS bundles are going to be huge holiday hits. There is nothing like a new video game system and a game on Christmas morning.
