Kaz Hirai, chief executive of Sony Computer Entertainment, is suggesting that the PS3 may turn profitable in fiscal year 2008 (April 2008 - March 2009).
Currently, Sony loses about $300 per machine, depending on who you believe (costs...note it's a Feb. 2006 cost estimate).
Anyhoozle, the point is that as Sony sells more and more systems (1.2 million in the holiday quarter) and the cost of manufacturing and parts come down, Sony may actually see a profit on their system.
Now, if they could actually get some good games.
