
My family's first computer was a Commodore 64, purchased at Sears. I have fond memories of typing in hundreds of lines of code from the backs of Commodore magazines in order to create rudimentary games (and then, inevitably, it wouldn't work and you'd have to search all that code for your error).
I also remember games taking up 7 or 8 floppy discs. My favorite game had something to do with Valykries...the 80's are fuzzy..all the booze and drugs ;).
Well, doing the C64 proud, engadget has pointed out the first ever C64 LAN party. Gears of War it is not. Still, awesome, nonetheless.
