Microsoft just announced Xbox Project Natal (that's nah-tahl), controller free gaming. This is their attempt to not only lower the learning curve of picking up a controller, but eliminate it altogether. Think, "Minority Report."
The Natal box has full body motion capture and voice recognition. Pretty cool, but seems gimmicky at this point. The demo games are pretty basic (swat at planes as King Kong, throw paint on a wall) but hey, with the success of basic Wii games, who knows.
Oh, and Kudo Tsunoda, the project's creative director who came onto stage and ripped on the Wii for its "waggle" commands seems like a Jack Black wanna-be and generally gave me a "douche" vibe.
I'll upload a video as soon as it's available.

I read that the price would be around $99, and that it would be compatible with the current 360 hardware...
but maybe not backward compatible with older games
