It really is cool!Like most of you out there, we didn't really know what to expect from the GBA. We knew that we definitely wanted a Glacier GBA, but, aside from that, we had no idea how it was going to play. Well, having not reserved one for ourselves (although we did for our GBA contest), we scoured some stores and finally got one at Fred Meyer for $89.99. We bought Super Mario Advance, and we haven't looked back. Our Blockbuster tab must be up to about $100 in GBA rentals. So far, we've really liked Castlevania and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater II. All the others have been fine, but nothing remarkable. Aside from the lighting issues that all GameBoy's have suffered from, the GBA is a top-of-the-line product. There is a battery low indicator, an "L" and "R" button for better game play, and the colors and sound are pretty damn good. It's definitely worth getting one of these slick little babies, but always rent before you buy. Most GBA games can be solved in 5 days.© 2001 lunabean.com |
