Quick Review
Thumbs Down from Jer Thumbs Down from Ali
I know, I know. Allison and I have heard it all. We simply don't like SSB:M. That's not to say that it's a bad game. Almost every Lunabeanie that has it loves it. It's a very popular game, so don't let our low opinion of it influence you at all... we're just weird.

Character Pros and Cons (Written by Lunabeanie, Ryan)
Character Pros and Cons
Mario Pros: Average everything. His throw at least SEEMS to be pretty strong.
Cons: Not GREAT at much, an all around character as expected. He is a bit slow. I also had a bit of difficulty getting back on ledges with him compared to most characters.
Dr. Mario See Mario
Luigi Pros: He is a bit faster than Mario, and can jump a little higher.
Cons: He's pretty balanced, the only problems is that he's a bit weak.
Bowser Pros: Strong, powerful, pretty much what you'd expect. He is harder typically to get off the stage, but it really doesn't matter when there's a bomb flying at you.
Cons: Slow, can't jump high, and can't get back on the stage for shit, so regardless of whether he gets smashed easily or not makes not much of a difference because he can't get back on unless you hit him straight up.
Peach Pros: Hip explosion. One of the best moves in the game, its very effective and easy to hit with. She also has a very easy time getting back on the stage when smashed far to the side.
Cons: Other than the hip explosion, she sucks. Period. No power, damage or smash.
Yoshi Pros: He has decent moves, and plays a bit like mario with a stun move.
Cons: He's just not all that effective. Maybe I'm just not good with him. His up and B move is practically useless as your better off just smashing them.
DK Pros: He can hit hard.
Cons: Sucks otherwise. He's hard to play against as a computer, but I doubt there's anyone who'll ever be him as he's soley based on timing. You have to be lucky to be good with him.
Captain Falcon Pros: One of the better characters in the game, he has the best move in the game (and cheapest) also known as Raptor Boost.
Cons: He has slow hit recovery, after you attack you're very vulnerable, so anyone who knows much of anything about dodging will wipe you out.
Gannondorf See Captain Falcon (He just looks a LOT cooler).
Falco The only difference I've noticed with him is a slower blaster that does more damage. See Fox.
Fox Pros: Fastest damned thing in this game. Can be the best character in the game. Especially when you know what your doing. He has one of the best Up and A smashes when mixed with his lightning speed makes for a deadly combination. The Fox Illusion only makes him more deadly when mastered.
Cons: Other than being fast, he doesn't typically do a lot of damage, but the trick to get around this is to hit them A LOT, and then smash, which isn't all that hard.
Ness Pros: His homerun smash is really cool, and his moves can be really powerful if you figure out how to use him. The PSI fire can be awesome for racking up damage and his PSI flash move can make an awesome explosion to crush enemies off screen.
Cons: This guy takes some serious practice to get used to. He is really crappy unless you know what your doing.
IceClimbers Pros: Use two items at once. They work pretty well on a 2v2 team.
Cons: Not powerful, difficult to use, and they can be confusing to learn. They're moves are particularly uneffective not to mention that their smashes suck.
Kirby Pros: Rock move is still useful, but thankfully toned down. His Final Cut move helps balance this a little.
Cons: He's just not that good anymore. Thank god. Heheheh.
Samus Pros: Throw move is still the best in the game.
Cons: Virtually no smash moves (charge up shot is the only move pretty much). Since throws have been majorly turned down, it really doesn't matter how good her throw is, because its really hard to grab them in the first place.
Zelda/Sheik Pros: Sheik. Very fast and powerful.
Cons: Zelda. Sucks + Lame. The main problem with Zelda/Sheik is how easy it is to knock her off.
Link Pros: Strong, fast, good smash.
Cons: He's actually got some useless moves, like the bomb one (again bah) and there is no need for a bow AND a boomerang. His bow is good for damaging opponents while you wait for them to come to you, but all it does is damage, absolutely no smash. His best move is definately the Whirlwind one, which is the complete opposite of SSB1.
Young Link See Link. Slightly faster with slightly less range.
Pikachu Pros: He has plenty of smash moves and he can rack up damage really well. His shocking jump thing is VERY helpful for getting back on once you've mastered it.
Cons: He's pretty boring to play with, and you go flying when you get hit, being you're such a small little creature.
Pichu Pikachu only slightly faster and weaker. They like doing this apparently.
JigglyPuff Regardless of whether he/she has been slightly upgraded since the original, its still not even worth touching this horrific waste of a character spot.
MewTwo Pros: Very damaging moves, decent smashes. His stun move when used twice will slam the opponent off the screen. Very effective in 1v1 combat.
Cons: Flies pretty far due to his floating nature. He's pretty useless in 4 player combat due to his slowish nature.
Mr Game and Watch Untested (soon to be unlocked)
Marth Pros: Strong attacks, good smashes, still can't figure out why you'd even waste your time with his down and B move.
Cons: Although his attacks are strong, they're not as strong as Roy's and he has the lack of sword distance that Roy does.
Roy Pros: Strong attacks, a one hit kill smash (all the others are excellent as well) and while not having a ranged attack, his melee attacks have very good range, keeping you away while still kicking the crap outta your opponent.
Cons: He isn't an air fighter, Marth takes over here, and he's a little bit slower as well.
