The Leged of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Master Quest Review
Upon entering the Deku Tree, you will notice a webbing on the ground below you. There's nothing you can do with it now, but keep it in mind.
Fight off the Deku Babas and collect your first DEKU NUT. DEKU NUTS can be thrown at enemies and will inflict minor damage upon them. Once you've cleared them out, head up the ladder.
Take the path along the rim of the tree upwards. Eventually, you'll run into a treasure chest where you'll find the DUNGEON MAP! YAY! You can look at it by pressing "Start" and locating it in your Map Subscreen. Take note, blue areas are areas you've visited. Flashing areas are where you are now.
Next to the treasure chest is a Golden Skulltula. Kill it and collect the token. Jump up on the crate and climb the vines.
Upstairs, kill the Deku Babas. You'll get your first DEKU NUT.
Step on the switch. This will ignite the golden torches you've passed on your way up, and burn through the webbing on the door next to you. Go through the door.
Kill off all of the Gohma Larva inside. This will lift the bars on the door and give you a large treasure chest. Step on the switch to get over to the chest and open it. Inside you will find the FAIRY SLINGSHOT. YAY!

Ignite your DEKU STICK, and light the torch in the center of the room. This will give you a treasure chest. Step on the button and cross the platforms to reach the chest. There's a Rupee inside. Now you can leave the room.
Head back down to the level below you. Light your DEKU STICK, and run over to the door with webbing covering it. Now you can enter the room.
You have a rather large Deku Baba to kill here. Do so, and the surrounding Gohma Larvae. Use your SLINGSHOT to hit the Gold Eye above the doorway and go through the door.
Kill all of the Skulltulas, and climb the vines to get to the treasure chest. Inside is the COMPASS.
Face the opposite side of the room and talk to Navi by the ladder above. She tells you to hit the ladder with some DEKU SEEDS. Time to pull out the SLINGSHOT. Shoot at the ladder and it will fall. Use it to go up and through the door you came in from.
Head back down to the main floor now and ignite a DEKU STICK, stand over the webbing on the floor, and swing your stick. This will burn through the webbing, and you'll fall to the bottom.
Use the shallow part of the water to get up to the ledge, and hit the button. This will bring flame to the torch across the way. Go over, light a DEKU STICK, and clear out the webbing covering another switch. Step on it and a treasure chest will drop down with a rupee inside.
Use your SLINGSHOT to shoot the Gold Eye, and pass through the door. Inside is a Deku Scrub and a couple Gohma Larvae. Kill them all (use your sheild to deflect the Deku Nut the Scrub shoot at you back at him, then slash him.
Now, run back outside, light a DEKU STICK, run back into this room and light the two torches. This will open up the door.
In front of you you have a button and a unlit gold torch. Step on the button. This will bring fire to the gold torch. Pull out a DEKU STICK, and run over to the gold torch. If you do it fast enough, you'll light your DEKU STICK before the torch goes out. Now, jump on the platform moving across the water. When moving under the spiked mediaval rolly thing, hit your "R" button. This makes you duck ever so slightly and miss the spikes. Jump over to the other side and light the two torches. Now you can pass through the door, if you can get by the Skulltula (Use your SLINGSHOT).
In this next room you'll have a Deku Scrub and a few Gohma Larvae and a bat. Kill them all to get through the bars to the next room.
You'll have some bad guys to kill in here, and a switch to step on. Same situation as before. Pull out a DEKU STICK and quickly ignite it, then run over to the webbing blocking both paths and clear it out. One direction you have a door. Behind it is a Golden SKulltula, but it's impossible to get withough a boomerang, so take the crawling path the other direction.
You've been in this room before. Now you're on the highest ledge. Kill the bad guys and push the block down into the water.
Now, you must be speedy. Light your DEKU STICK on the burning flame, run across the shallow part of the water to the block. Climb it, walk over to the web on the ground, swing your DEKU STICK, and fall to the bottom.
Unlike in Ocarina, I was not given the order to hit these three Dekus. So, I tried a few combos, and it seems 3-1-2 to be the one that worked.
Now the Boss Door is opened. EEK!
Boss Fight: Queen Ghoma
Look up at the ceiling to start the rumble. Queenie will drop down and come after you. Watch her eye. When you approach her, her eye will turn red. Shoot it with your SLINGSHOT. This will stun her. When stunned, run up to her and slash her eye with your SWORD. She will crawl up to the ceiling and drop some Ghoma Larvae at you. Simply take them out with your SWORD, and wait for her to come down again. Repeat the same attack on her. Take note of the plants on the outskirts of the arena. Many have either DEKU SEEDS or RECOVERY HEARTS. Once you've slashed Queen Ghoma in the eye enough times, you'll have defeated her.
Pick up your RECOVERY HEART and walk into the light.
Outside the Deku Tree will tell you a scary story. Something about not letting a bad guy get his hands on the Triforce. Duh. You'd think we'd never done this before.
You are told now to head to Hyrule Castle, and you are given the KOKIRI'S EMERALD. Then, the Deku Tree dies. Nice going. You killed it. Off to Hyrule Castle!
Now, off to Hyrule Castle!
