The Leged of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Master Quest Review
To your right are some vines. Kill the Skulltulas and climb the vines and you'll be on a treetop of sorts. Kill the Skulltula across from you and jump to the other branch. Step on the switch. This will drop a treasure chest. Open it to get a Small Key. Jump back down.
Enter the Temple through the door. Take out the Skulltulas and go up to the chained door. It will automatically use the key you just got. There is also a Gold Skulltula right above the chained door. Use your HOOKSHOT to kill it and grab the token. Go through the door.
Go up the staircase right across from where you came in. Play the Song of Time to remove the block. Go through the studded door. Kill the 2 Wolfos and you'll get a treasure chest containg a Small Key. Exit back out.
From where you just exited, go to the rightside staircase (it'd be the leftside staircase from where you originally entered this area a second ago).
Go up the stairs and enter the door, you'll meet a Stalfos (skeleton). Kill him. Move on.

Go up the ladder and up the next one. You'll see some arrows on the floor. To your left is a block. Go up to it and pull it toward you, then push it just out of the way to the right so you can pass through the hall you just moved it from. Go through, turn right and right again. Here's another block. Push it forward until it falls into place. Now you can climb on top of it to the ledge above. Before you go up, though, head up the next ladder by where you got the first block. At the top, hang a right and another right, and pull the brown block towards you until it can't go any further. Drop back down and go up the ledge. Push the other brown block all the way back and into place. Jump up and hit the switch which creates HOOKSHOT poles for you to use, and some clear platforms as well.
Continue on and go up the ladder. You'll face to Blue Bubble (Skull heads). Defeat them by blocking them with your shield, then, attacking them. Use your Small Key on the next door.
You'll be in a red carpeted hallway. In the next room, open the treasure chest and get the BOSS KEY. Now, drop down through the hole in the floor.
Kill the hand and it's 3 offshoots to open the door. Stay on the ledge and go through the first door on your right. There is a ReDead in here. Play your Sun Song to freeze him and kill him. Open the treasure chest for a Small Key.
You'll be in a green outdoor area surrounded by walls with a stream running through the middle. Above the well/reflecting pool there is a Gold Skulltula. Climb the vines to reach it. Now, go back up to the ledge that you came out on (ignore the door on the ground floor) and go through the first door on your right.
Hit the switch, which causes the red carpeted hallway that you were just in to twist and become all crazy. Use the HOOKSHOT poles and ladders to get back up to the red carpeted hallway.
Use your small key on the door there. Enter the door, go down the stairs and through the next door and you'll have to face 3 Stalfos. Once they're dead, open the tresure chest to get the FAIRY BOW. Exit out the same door you came in, and go up the stairs. There are 3 portraits with poes in them. When you see the poe in the picture, shoot it with an arrow. Do it for all 3 portraits. This will unleash a Poe (ghost) who is carrying a torch. Take care of him, which will light the torch and reveal a treasure chest. Open it to get the MAP, finally!
Now, go back to the room where you received your BOW and pass through to the next room.
Here we have the exact same situation we did before. There are three portraits you need to shoot with your arrows when the images are on them. Once you clear out all three, you'll have to fight the poe at the bottom of the room, upon doing so, the torch will be lit (along with the corresponding torch in the entrance), and you will get the COMPASS. Head upstairs and exit the room.
Wait...we need a key. Let's backtrack. Before you do, this would be a good place to cast FARORE'S WIND. Head to the main central room. Now we have door on the right side with a Gold Eye on top of it. Use your new ARROW to shoot the eye, which will open this previously locked door.
In this garden area you have Deku Babas to kill. After you clear out what you can, look right above the door that you came in. There is a Gold Skulltula over a HOOKSHOT target. Kill it and grab the token. Go over to the well. Look inside of it. There is a yellow eye to shoot. Do so. This will drain the well. Go down and grab the Small Key out of the treasure chest. There is also a Gold Skulltula down here. Get it, and go back up the ladder that you just came down. Now, go underneath the black/gray block that is suspended to the right of the door you came in (if you're facing it). Play the Song of Time. Now, HOOKSHOT up to the ledge above the door and cross the gap by hopping on the blocks. From the third block, jump over to the vines and climb to the landing on the right. Here you will find a treasure chest with a SMALL KEY inside.
Hookshot over to the balcony across the way and go through the door.
Kill the Big Skulltula, then stand behind the flame, then shoot and ARROW through it so the FLAMING ARROW hits the webbing and takes it down. Go through the door and you're back in the first courtyard.
From here, use FARORE'S WIND to go back to the room where we needed the SMALL KEY that we now have and go through the door.
Here you have another crazy room. Watch out for the shadows, as you really don't want to be taken out here. Go throught the door to the right and down the red carpeted hall. Use your SMALL KEY on the door at the end of the hall.
Here you have four rotating pillars, a crate, a switch, an unlit torch, and an ice covered eye. You need to place the crate on the switch, which will light the torch. Stand behind the flame, and shoot an arrow through it so it melts the ice covered eye. This will twist the hallway you just came from. Take the crate off the switch in order to remove the ice blocking the doorway.
Now, head through the twisty hallway and enter the next room. Fall through the square hole in the floor.
There's a small hall with a barred door to your right. You need to work yourway forward beyond the falling ceiling and past the Skulltulas. There are holes in the falling ceiling, where, if you place yourself underneath these holes, you can pass safely...assuming, of course, the Skulltula doesn't get you.
Hit the switch on the left. This will raise the bars on the door that was to your right when you entered the room. Go back to this door and pass through. You're in the second garden here, up on the "island" with the treasure chest on it. Open the chest and grab the SMALL KEY. Play the Song of Time on your OCARINA to move the blocks so you can climb back up and go back into the falling ceiling room.
Once again, we're heading to the far side of the room, past the falling ceiling. The right switch will drop a treasure chest with arrows inside. Make it to the end of the room and unlock the door.
Go through the door and shoot the Poe in the portrait. This will drop 5 blocks. Arrange the blocks so that they look like the Poe in the portrait: you have 1 minute. After that, the green Poe will come out. Kill him and it'll light the 3rd torch in the main foyer area of this dungeon. Go through the now opened door, and the next one.
You'll be in the main foyer area. The last Poe that you need to defeat is in the middle of the 4 torches. However, he's a real pain because he breaks up into 4 Poes, one of which is the real one. This is just trial and error. Shoot the various Poes with your arrows and every once in a while, you'll get lucky and hit the right one; repeat. Take care of this purple Poe and the last torch will be lit. This will raise the elevator in the middle.
Enter the elevator and go down. Push one of the walls that is sticking out to rotate the room and reveal the various doors that you want to go down. The treasure chest that you'll get to only has a bundle of arrows. Keep rotating the room. Once you get the door to line up with the East room, use an arrow or your Hookshot to hit the crystal switch on the ceiling. Then, step on the floor switch. This will raise the bars to the Southern door. Go in to the Southern door and look right above the door. There is a Yellow Eye Switch for you to shoot with an arrow. This will raise the bars on the Northern/Boss door. Enter.

There are 4 portraits in this room. Phantom Ganon will come out of one of the various pictures. Try to keep an eye on each picture by rotating quickly. When you see the purple warp as he comes out, shoot directly at him. Three direct hits, and he'll fall out of the picture. Now, you must defeat him off the horse. He'll be floating above you. When he shoots his magic orb in your direction, hit it back at him with your sword. You may play a little "tennis" with him before it hits him, but once it does, he'll be stunned on the ground. Slash him with your sword. Repeat this process a few times and you'll have beatten the Phantom Ganon.
Pick up you HEART CONTAINER and walk into the light. Here you will see Saria again, the Sage of the Forest. You will also meet up with the Deku Sprout. Nice work.
Now, time to make our way to the Fire Temple.
