The Forsaken Fortress Revisited
  • Upon rising to the surface of the sea, find a fish to BAIT and chart the Tower of the Gods. He tells you of Triumph Forks and that Tingle knows more about them.
  • Head to the Forsaken Fortress, which is in the NW corner of your SEA CHART.
  • When you locate the Forsaken Fortress, find the wooden door and blast through it with your CANNON, then move into the Fortress and park your boat.
  • Go up the stairs. Avoid the searchlights. Approach the wooden gate on the North side.
  • Watch out! A shadow of Ganon appears. When he shoots the blue orb at you, use your SWORD to hit it back at him...ala tennis. When he falls to the ground, slash him. Do this twice. He'll disappear.
  • A Treasure Chest will appear. Open to reveal the SKULL HAMMER. This can be used to break things and to pound obstacles into the ground. It also stuns enemies with its shockwave.
  • A lot of little goblins appear. Kill them. You don't have to worry about getting caught by the search lights, but, you should avoid them as the cannon-fire will find you easier if you're in them.
  • Approach the Eastern stairs and use your SKULL HAMMER on the obstacles blocking the stairs. Climb the stairs.
  • Go up the ladder. Take out the guy operating the spotlight.
  • Go down the ladder, go down the ramp, into the hallway, turn right. Go through the door. Go through the next door. In the hallway, make a quick left, climb the ladder and take out the spotlight...this is the South East spotlight. Climb down the ladder.
  • Go through the door on the West side of the hallway. Kill the Bokoblin and use your DEKU LEAF to float across the gap. The next door is blocked by some obstacles. Use your SKULL HAMMER on them. Go through the door.
  • Go down the hallway and through the next door. You are now in the NW of the map. Take out the 2 Moblins and go through the wooden door with the two torches on either side of it.
  • Go up the stone stairs. There are a ton of little goblins to destroy. Go up the path...taking out the little goblins along the way. You'll come to some obstacles blocking your way. Use your SKULL HAMMER on them.
  • At this point, you need to take out the 3rd spotlight. Take the ladder down, then, take the next one down. Go across and take the ladder up to the spotlight. Take out the guard there. Phew. All 3 spotlights are out of commission.
  • Unfortunately, you can't easily get back up to where you just were, as there is no block to allow you to reach the ladder. Go down the ladder and down the ramp. Make a left in the hallway (toward the North). Go through the door. Use your DEKU LEAF to cross the gap and go through the next door.
  • You are now in the room with the 2 Moblins and the wooden door with the torches on either side.
  • Go through the door and make your way up again, taking out the little goblins as you go. You'll reach the obstacles again, use your SKULL HAMMER on them.
  • On your right, you'll see a small ledge. Sidle along it. You're on the North side of the map. There is another ledge on the right which you need to Sidle along.
  • Go up the stairs and pound the switch with your SKULL HAMMER. This raises the bar on the wooden door. Go through.
  • You'll get a cutscene showing your sister, Aryll, and the other captured girls. The Pirates will appear. Tetra notices that you have the Master Sword. Tetra tells you that she and the Pirates will bring your sister back to Outset Island for you. Here comes the Roc, the bird. Damn. You are locked in and water begins to fill the area.
  • You have to run up the ramp as fast as you can. The Bird will knock out areas of the wooden ramp and you'll have to deal with some little goblins. If you do fall, you can use your GRAPPLING HOOK to cross the gaps.
  • When you get to the top, the Bird will block your way. Target his head and hit him with your SKULL HAMMER.
  • You are now at the top. You have to fight the Bird. Wait for the Bird to land and get near him. This will cause the Bird to attack you by trying to peck at you. If he misses, he'll get his beak stuck in the ground. Hit him with your SKULL HAMMER. Repeat this until the armor on his head breaks. Now that he is exposed, use the same tactics, but this time, use your sword on his head. A few good hits and he'll fly away and a HEART CONTAINTER will appear.
  • This lowers the spikes blocking the path up. Go up the path. Go through the carved wooden door.
  • You'll get a cutscene with Ganondorf. He tells you that you cannot defeat him without a "sparkling blade." He says that the Master Sword is "useless." Tetra appears on the scene. It is revealed that she is PRINCESS ZELDA. The Rito's come and save you. Valoo (the dragon) appears on the scene and burns the Forsaken Fortress. You are taken to the Tower of the Gods and told that you must return to the bottom of the sea, which happen automatically.
  • You are told to return to the room where you got the MASTER SWORD...it's the basement room, under the statue of the Hero of Time, remember?
  • Tetra is now following you. The pathway to the basement is open. Go down the stairs. You are told that this kingdom is indeed Hyrule! The King, Daphnes Nohansen Hyrule, is speaking to you. He is the King of Red Lions. How convenient. The King tells you about the Triforce of Power and all that jazz. Tetra is turned into Princess Zelda. The King tells you that you have to return back to the lands above to return the power to repel evil back to the Master Sword. After all of this go to your ship and talk to him. He tells you that you need to investigate the 2 sages, but, you can't get to them from down here. You have to find entrances from various islands. They are marked on your SEA CHART for you.
  • Hop in your boat and ener the yellow light. Once you are on the surface, the boat tells you that the Triforce of Courage has been broken up into 8 pieces. You need to find them, but not quite yet. First, we need to make our way to the Earth Temple.
