We just rented the game today (4.27.02) and so far we both like it. A port of the popular
PC game, NOLF can be thought of as a combination of 007: Agent Under Fire,
Perfect Dark, Deus Ex, and Austin Powers. There are 4 new PS2 exclusive missions. That brings
the total to 19 missions which totals 61 levels (if our counting is right). All in all, it's a great First Person Shooter
with excellent AI, unique and funny dialogue, the ability to choose your response to a question,
varying missions (from sniping to shoot outs), and stealth aspects. The only drawback to this game
that we can see so far is the graphics. It looks like an N64 game. Oh, the Austin Powers...the game
is set in the 60's; flower power, orange everywhere, trippy and mellow soundtrack, and overall cheesy
feel. It feels like an old James Bond movie.
These are just first impressions...stay tuned for more.
More Impressions: As much fun as the game was intially, it lost its appeal after a few days of play. Certain tasks
became tedious, and luck began playing too much a part of the game. Luck is fine and dandy, but when
it takes you fifteen minutes to get to the point where you need to get lucky, then don't get lucky,
you have to start the process all over again. Some people like this, neither of us do. Oh, and what's
a review of a PS2 game without complaining a little bit about loading times? Be prepared to be inundated
with flower power and the "No One Lives Forever" tune. I still sing it, and it's been a month since I've picked the game up.
I think this game makes for a good rent. You'll have a good time with it...and you won't feel bad when
you decide you need to put it away.

FAQs/Sticking Points/Hints
Q. Are there any cheats for this game?
A. At this time (8.16.02) there is one cheat for the PS2 version of the game (look below), even though there are many for the PC version.
If you find any cheats, please e-mail us at: cheats@lunabean.com.
Q. In A Tenuous Lead, Scene 3 I am supposed to "Infiltrate the Main Warehouse".
How do I do this?
A. Use the crates to the right of the large open area with one guard. Jump up and get to the roof, open the window, and drop in.
Q. How do I bribe the guard in Berlin, Scene 1?
A. Bribing the guard can be difficult. Cameras nor other guards can see you do it or you'll be caught. It's
easier to just go to the opposite side, crouc and move along the wall (under the camera by the big doors) and open the door to the guard shack.
Q. How do I get through Man of Influence, Part 3?
A. First, you go insane. Next, you get lucky. Honestly, everyone has their own way of getting through it,
and it is mainly about luck and watching the cameras. Evil, evil level. If you're really stuck, e-mail us and
let us know what part you're specifically having problems with.
Q. In Unexpected Turbulance, Scene 4 how do I keep from hitting the barn?
A. I thought the only goal here was to catch the man with the parachute. Nope. In order to catch the man with the parachute,
you much shoot all of the other guys falling out of the plane, too.
Q. In A Tenuous Lead, how do I prevent the ship from filling with water?
A. After you float up the ladder area to the second floor, run through the door. As soon as you run through it, turn around and shut it.
