Part 1: Things You Should Know, 0% - 49%

Things You Should Know

Strategies for Killing Enemies
The best move in this whole game is what I refer to as the "wall push attack." With your sword drawn, move toward a wall and push against it then simultaneously hit your Attack and Action buttons. You will go horizontal and push off the wall knocking down your enemy and then you can quickly Dagger him/her. This works on almost all enemies except for the cave men guys who swing the sledge hammers. They block that attack every time. For those guys, use the Vault Attack. That is running toward an enemy and then hitting the Action Button which will cause you to run up and over the enemy and slash him with a quick 1 - 2 combo and you'll knock him down. Those are the two attacks that I used for 95% of this game.

In rare situations I found the Mega Freeze to be useful. This special attack is only available if you have all of your Power Tanks (the white half-moons) filled up and you have a Power Tank for each Yellow Circle. To do a Mega Freeze, simultaneously pull the Special Action and Rewind buttons. This will freeze all of your enemies. Then, you can move lightning fast to each of them and slash them quickly. This is a great way to get rid of a good 8-10 guys all at once.

Getting Health
While you're fighting you'll often want to fill up on Health with a quick drink of water. Make sure to put your sword away, then run over to the water fountain or pool. Putting your sword away unlocks you from enemies and makes for quicker drinking. Also, don't be greedy. Get a quick gulp in then continue fighting. Obviously, this only applies when you're fighting enemies. Normally, drink all the water you need.

There are Health Upgrades in this game. They are found in hidden rooms/areas. I have made them bolded so you can look for "Health Upgrade" if you're looking for one.

Rewinding
Your Dagger of Time allows you to rewind time so long as you have sand in your hourglass (yellow circle meter). If you move your control stick in any direction while rewinding it makes the rewinding go faster. This is helpful if you're doing a lot of rewinding in the same place for instance.

See "You Have Unleashed the Sands of Time (5%)" for more info on the Dagger and Power Tanks.

Watching Visions
At every Save Point, you'll get a Vision. Pay attention to them as they will give you a glimpse of what you should be doing next. You can always walk back into the Save Point and watch the Vision again if you'd like.

Terminology
"wall run up," means run straight up the wall using your Special Action Button.
"wall run along" some wall, means to do a wall run along a wall. You have to get a slight moving start to do this.
"bar," means a horizontal bar sticking out of the side of the wall.
"pole" or "column," means a vertical pole or column either coming up from the floor or extending down from the ceiling (a hanging pole).
"wall push attack," see above Enemy Strategies.
"wooden beam," a horizontal beam made of wood that would look like the exposed beams of a ski lodge, for example.

Unlocking Prince of Persia 1
Scroll down to "Above the Baths (33%)" for instructions on how to find the secret room containing Prince of Persia 1.

The Walkthrough Begins...

Walk into the light.

After a long and interesting movie you start out. You are in a rubble/ruin area. You start to get instructions for your controls. For full and consolidated controls for each console see, "Controls," at the bottom of this walkthrough.

Climb up on the large rocks/rubble that form a large 3 stone staircase and jump the gap. Then, run up the wall...your first wall run. Ahh. So cute. Next you learn about your 2 camera options: First-Person and Landscape. These, of course, are in addition to the standard view. Jump the gap with the red tapestry and head inside. Break through the bench and the truck using your sword and confront your first enemy. You will learn your basic combat moves here. Once you dispose of your first guard, climb the ladder. Take out the 3 guards. Head inside and you'll find your first fountain filled with water. Water restores energy. Drink some if your health is low. Back outside, drop down and fight the 4 guards. Head back inside, through the halls, and you'll emerge outside again. A huge fireball will have destroyed the path. Time to do your first wall run! Head up the ladder.

You'll get a quick cut scene of a hole being blown in the wall. After the scene, fight the 4 guards. Time to learn do your first wall crawl. Jump up and grab the ledge on the gray wall with the face carving. Shimmy to your left and then hop up to the ledge above you. Continue to shimmy to the left and you'll have to round a corner. Just keep pushing left on your control stick and he'll go around. Now you have to push in the direction you want him to go in relation to the screen. In other words, push up on the control stick to get him moving along. This may take a little getting used to but it becomes second nature soon enough. If you have trouble moving him, just try different control stick positions until you get him to move. Next, you'll have to drop down. Drop down to the lower ledge and shimmy by this face carving. Whalaa! There's the hole that was blown in the wall. Drop down and go in. Here, you'll learn some more advanced combat moves like the "run over the guy and hit him from behind" move.

Oh no. Where to go. Pole climbing time. There are 4 poles in this room. One is broken, two you can't get onto, so get onto the one you can. Climb up to the top and rotate so that your back is facing the pole behind you. Jump over to it. Rotate again and go to the next pole. Climb to the top of that one and jump over to the balcony. Go through the green tapestries and you'll get your first save!

The Maharajah's Treasure Vaults (2%)

Now you are in a dreary, wet, tunnel/sewer. Do a wall run along the left wall. Next you will learn the "wall run to jump" move. Do a wall run along the right wall, then, when you are across from the landing on the left that you want to get to, push your jump button and you'll jump from the wall across to the landing. Pretty spiffy, huh? After another normal wall run you'll learn the wall-to-wall jump. Do a wall run straight up either side of the walls. Before you reach your peak, jump. Then, continue to jump back and forth in a rhythmic pattern until you grab hold of the ledge on the left. Go through the door and a cut scene of the Dagger of Time that you're after.

This is the first of many "puzzle rooms" where you have to figure out how to get to the objective...in this case the dagger. If at any point you fall onto the floor below, just use the columns/poles to get back up to the side platforms. Start by wall running along the wall on your right. Then, do another wall run along the same wall and jump when you hit the red tapestry. You will now be on a central platform and you can see the dagger through a window from here. Facing the window with the dagger, do a wall run up the left wall and climb up. Do a wall run along the right wall where all of the red tapestries are hanging down. From this platform, do another wall run and go through the door on your right.

You are now in an obstacle room. There are spinning bladed poles. Drop down and run by them. There is now a rather large gap in front of you. If you fall down there, just hop back up using the ledges. Do a wall run along the left wall and you'll land on the ledge on the opposite wall from where you started your wall run. Move toward the right and then jump to the ledge across from you by pushing the control stick away from the wall and jumping. Move along this ledge and jump back across. More spinning bladed poles and another large gap. Do a wall run along the left wall and when you are across from the ledge on the right wall, jump over. That's it for the blue, dreary, sewer area.

You are now on the side of a wall. This is a series of ledges that you have to maneuver. There are 3 levels of ledges. Some collapse as you go along. It's really rather easy. If you reach a dead end, just drop down or jump up to another ledge and continue shimmying to the left. When you get to the far left, go down to the lowest ledge and jump across to the pole behind you. Continue to work your way around the poles and when you reach the one nearest the center, hop off of it...you're at a safe height now. This room contains a large carved-in-the-cliff statue of a king. You have to get to the top of him using your various skills. Go up the stairs and wall run up to the ledge. See where the candles are above you? There is a wooden trunk next to you. Smash it and wall run up to the ledge where the candles are located. Go to the right of the candles and wall run up then jump so that you land in the palm of his opened hand. Go to the left, past another set of candles and wall run up this small wall. Finally, you're going to have to do the wall-to-wall jump in order to get up to the top of his head where the dagger is located. You now have the dagger!

You now have to get out by basically backtracking. Do a wall run along the left wall through the open gated door. The floor will start to collapse. Now you have to do a series of wall runs and wall runs to jumps. Up next are the spinny poles. Avoid the first set and then take refuge in the nook on the left wall in order to get by the row of spinny poles. Climb up the ledges and soon you'll be out.

Long cut scene of father and the Hourglass of Time and it opening up and all heck breaking loose and such things.

Time for a battle. You are in a grand hall with red carpeting and many columns. At the back of it is a fountain for health. Sometimes it's hard to get health because you have enemies attacking you. The best way to do it is to sheath your sword so you can run around normally and go for a quick drink. This is also the first time that you'll get to use your Dagger of Time!

Dagger of Time

The Dagger of Time can rewind the game. See the white circle under your Health Meter? When you're rewinding time, holding down the rewind button, you'll see the white circle getting smaller indicating how much further back you can go. If you die this is a very handy way to come back to life. Each time you rewind you use up one of the yellow balls in your "hour glass" indicator. It's the vertical indicator on your left side. Each time you use your dagger to kill an enemy you get one yellow ball back.

From now on you'll be fighting non-human enemies. They have a yellow/orange glow in their bellies. To kill them you must knock them down and then use your Dagger on them. Don't forget about the ability to vault over enemies and attack them from the rear. This is a handy attack and one you should not quickly forget. Once all of the enemies are are killed you'll get another save point and your first sepia-toned "vision." If you missed the vision you can walk back into the Save Point and view it again after you have saved.

You Have Unleashed the Sands of Time (5%)

From the Save Point, see the gated door with all of the rubble in front of it? There is an opening on the right side of it. Go through and up the stairs. You'll be chasing the mysterious woman in red. Go through the red tapestry door and you'll be in a room with a broken staircase and a bed. You are in the "guest room." Do a wall run along the right wall to get by the broken part of the staircase. Now on the main floor, see the white light under the staircase? That is a Sandcloud. Collect 8 Sandclouds to upgrade your "hour glass" meter. Sandclouds also fill up your hour glass meter.

Now, facing the elevated bed, go to your left and look for the bar that you can jump up to. Time for some uneven parallel bars! Swing around and jump to the next bar. Continue jumping from bar to bar until you get to the ledge. Shimmy over and you are now on a platform above one side of the bed. Do a wall run to the other platform on the other side of the bed. From here you'll see a bar sticking out of the wall opposite you. Do a wall run to a jump and get onto that bar and swing over and land on the balcony. Go through the door.

Hear that humming? That is a Sandcloud. It's up the pile of rubble that is blocking the hallway to the right. Get it then go down the hallway. Jump from bar to bar and you'll land with a small water fountain in front of you. Drink the water if you need it. All but one path is blocked. Go into the next room.

This is another guest room. Do a wall run to the first bar holding the green banner. Swing from bar to bar and get to the balcony. Do another wall run and you'll grab the highest in a series of 3 bars. Drop down to each of the lower two bars. On the ground floor you'll have some enemies to fight. You'll notice that as you fight enemies a white half-moon icon will be growing next to your "hour glass" meter.

This is the Power Tank. The Power Tank allows you to do 2 things: go into slow motion or freeze an opponent. Each time you use one of those skills you use one half-moon (Power Tank). Retrieve the souls of (kill) 16 enemies to add a new Power Tank.

Facing the green bed, go to your left and find the bars with the green curtains/hangings. Do a wall run up the side of the wall opposite the bar and jump from the wall to the bar. You want to do the wall run up the wall with the picture of the horse with a blue background and red rider. You are now hanging from the bar. Turn around by moving your control stick either up or down and then swing, jump, wall jump and you'll be on the bar above you. Now, swing up to the ledge and go through the hole in the wall. You'll get a save point.

Had I Really Seen Her? (7%)

You start in an interior hallway. If you need health there is a water fountain on your left. Break through the chair and trunks and go through the door. To your right is a Sandcloud. Grab it. Go to the other end of the hallway and do a wall run up the wall and jump off of it to the bar. From the bar, turn around and swing up onto the ledge. There is a hole in the wall. Go through it. You have found your first Health Upgrade.

Do you hear that mysterious music? Run down the hall and into the blackness. You have entered an mystical place where your health bar gets extended. It's my favorite place. Savor it. You will only be here a few more times. Check out the sparklies and the blue lights. I could live here. Enough of that, run across the rope bridges and go up to the fountain.

Poof! We're back to the vertical tunnel. No more hole in the wall. How strange? Make your way down and go across the gap in the floor to get the Sandcloud. Then, drop down the large hole in the floor. Follow the hall and you'll meet the Maharajah's Daughter, Farah. And, you'll be attacked by Beetles! Farah will escape through the crack in the wall...a recurring theme. Fight the Beetles. There is a fountain at one end of the hallway if you need help. After the Beetles are dead, go down the hallway. There is an open door to your left and one to your right. The one on the left leads to a Sandcloud. Get it. Go back to the hallway and go through the door on your right.

It looks like Farah's bedroom to me. This is our first big puzzle room. Jump the gap and then head outside. You'll get a cut scene of some birds carrying away the hour glass. Go along the outdoor balcony and do a wall run along the wall when the balcony crumbles and falls. Go back inside. You have a series of poles to deal with. Climb up the first one and face your back to the right and jump. The perspective looks a little weird, but you will connect with the pole behind you. Hop across the next couple of poles until you get to the last broken off one before the fully intact one. You'll see a platform along the wall with two notches or ledges above it. Since it's too far to jump to the fully intact pole, jump to the wall and you'll grab onto the notch. Drop down to the platform and do a wall run along the wall until you see the shadow of the fully intact column along the wall. At the shadow, jump and you'll jump to the column. Slide down the pole/column, fight the Beetles and grab the Sandcloud.

Climb up the small rock platform along the wall. This gives you some height that you need. You're going to wall run then jump to the broken off column. You'll know when to jump when you see the shadow of the column. It's going to be close to the end of your wall run, so timing is key. If you fall, just hold the "Rewind" button until you're safe again and retry it. From this pole jump to the other columns and get to the landing. Do a wall run up the side of the gray stone in the corner. You'll hear/see a Sandcloud on your left and you'll see 2 brown bars. You need to get to the brown bar. Do a wall run up the back wall and jump to the first bar. Swing to the next one and then up to the landing. Turn around and go get the Sandcloud. This will refill your meter.

From the platform with the Sandcloud just on it, find the column and hop across to the small platform sticking out of the wall. Hang from the ledge of it by dropping down and then turn then shimmy and turn the corner and drop down to each lower ledge until you get to the platform below. Take out the Beetles. Jump to the bars sticking out of the wall with the lanterns hanging from them and swing to the next platform. Kill the Beetles. See the pole right off the ledge of the balcony? Hop over the edge of the railing and your back will be facing the pole. Line up the pole and you and jump to the pole by pushing away from the railing and jumping. Slide down the pole.

You are now on the ground level. Fight the enemies. This is what I consider the first hard battle of the game. I can't recommend more the use of the "Jump From Wall KO Move." Well, that's my name for it. While pushing against a wall, simultaneously push your jump (action) button plus your attack button. Follow up with your Dagger for an easy one-two kill. There is a water fountain on each side of the room if you need health. There is also a Sandcloud in this room. When that's all done, you'll see that a Save Point has appeared. Watch the vision and save.

A Secret Passage (10%)

You are in the red bedroom. Look for the 4 bookcases/armoires in each section of the room. Move each one until you find the one that has a door behind it. When you find the hidden door, go through. Go down the stairs and then do a wall run along the left wall then jump from the wall to the landing on the right. Grab the Sandcloud. Step on the floor switch to open the door and go through. You are now in a gray fountain area with red tapestries. The bridge is broken. Do a wall run along the wall and then jump from the wall to the other side of the bridge. Time to move a crate. Pull the crate to cover the floor switch. Go through.

Moon Phase Puzzle

This is your first difficult puzzle. First, you have to get to the central area of this room. Pull the switch from the wall next to you which extends a bridge. Run down the bridge as it retracts and jump for it. You are now in the middle.

There are two podiums with turning levers on them. The one that looks like a DNA model controls movement of the platform up and down. The other rotates the platform. Take note of the moon phase imagery in this room. There are four moon phases: (1) Crescent Moon (2) Half-Moon (3) Full Moon (4) New Moon.

Without touching anything, you are given the first moon that you need to get. See the Full Moon lighted floor switch. Go up to it and step on it. You now have the Full Moon and your partner up above will confirm it. Taking a look at the grooves the only thing you can do now is rotate. Rotate it to the right one.

Then, make it go up one. Rotate 3 to the left until it dead ends. Then, make it go down one. You'll notice that you have the New Moon lined up and the floor switch is glowing with the New Moon symbol. Step onto the switch to engage the New Moon. You'll hear the guy upstairs confirm your 2nd one.

Now go up one and rotate two. The grooves now allow you to go up two. Would you look at that. The Half-Moon is lined up. Step on the switch to grab the Half-Moon. You'll hear confirmation and, "One more to go."

Now we need to get the 3 axles that we have so that we can go down. So, rotate it until the Crescent Moon (the only one you haven't gotten) is above the last remaining axle still in the wall. When you have your empty slot lined up with the axle below, lower the platform one. Whalaa! The Crescent Moon is lined up. Grab it by stepping on the floor switch.

Now, just bring up the platform to one notch below each of the large Moon Phase gears and rotate them until they line up. Then, raise them the final notch and you'll just have one more thing to do. Run across the bridge that has appeared and go up the ladder. At the top of the ladder is a hanging bar switch. Jump up and grab it. All done!

Go down the ladder and kill the two enemies. There is a Save Point up the stairs.

The Palace's Defense System (12%)

From the Save Point, go up the stairs and avoid the spinny poles. There is a new twist, though: floor spikes. To not get spiked you have to walk very slowly over them so they don't pop up. In this case, just follow the path of the spinny poles, avoiding them of course, then walk slowly over the last set of spikes.

Pull the gold wall switch. It activates a timed door on the other side of the obstacle course. The first set of obstacles isn't too hard. Avoid the spinny poles and then jump from the ledge to ledge avoiding the saws dropping down and shimmying. Jump from the wall to the hallway. The second part is more of the same.

When you get through the door you'll be in an outdoor courtyard and you'll have some enemies to battle. There is a water fountain in one corner of the courtyard. For fighting, I highly recommend the wall-push-off attack (push against a wall and press Action and Attack at the same time). A Save Point appears.

A Booby Trapped Courtyard (14%)

You are still in the courtyard. Find the glowing wall switch and do a wall run up to it to activate it. This will raise a block in the middle of the courtyard. Wall run up the block and then grab onto the brown bar. Swing up to the ledge of the ruins in front of you. Then, make the jump to the surrounding balcony.

Spinning floor blades. Damn. The key here is to roll by them using good timing. You can also slow down time which helps sometimes. Past the spinning floor blade do a wall run along the left wall and jump over to the landing. More spinny poles and blades. Get by them. You will now see a gold symbol on the floor and a hanging bar switch. Jump from the gold symbol to the switch and swing over to the doorway.

You will see a ladder which is protected from underneath by spikes. From the rocks on the left wall, do a wall run then jump from the wall to the ladder. Switch to the other side of the ladder (push left or right on your control stick) and go up.

Another wall run and then a jump across the corner gap and you'll find a Sandcloud. From the Sandcloud you'll see some spikes in the corner and an opening above. It leads to a Health Upgrade. Go up on the rock to the right of the spikes, do a wall run straight up and jump from the right wall to the ledge above the spikes. Go through the opening in the wall. Hear that mystical music? It's my favorite place...the blue lighted Health Upgrade place.

After you get the upgrade you'll be right back where the hole in the wall was. Do a wall run along the wall and grab onto the bar coming out of the wall with the lantern hanging from it. Swing over to the ledge, shimmy so your back is facing the landing and jump from the wall to the landing. Ahh! It's a saw, just wait for it to go up and wall run by it. Then, wall run straight up the far wall and grab onto the ledge. From here, jump to the bar in the wall, turn around, and swing up to the next landing. Wall run past the next saw and then the next one then wall jump to the landing behind you. You'll pass a gold emblem door and a water fountain. Wall run past the next saw and hit the gold floor switch. This opened the gold emblem door. Wall run back and go through the door.

There is a gold pull wall switch here. Pull it and you'll face another obstacle course. Nothing too hard here and nothing you haven't done before. Just make your way up to the gold emblem door. If you fail, go back, pull the wall switch and try again. You may have to roll under the door to make it.

Cut scene and lots of enemies. Oh no! One of them is your father. Rats. You are in a red carpeted and many-columned grand room. There is a water pool on one side of the room if you need it. Remember to put away your sword to make it easier to drink water. Watch out for Farah. If her health goes away you both die. If she's being attacked get in there and rescue her. I had to do this battle several times, so don't feel bad if you die. Once you have all of the regular guys beat, go after your father...the pirate-looking one. To defeat him, do the run over him move (vault) and attack him from behind. Repeat this until he goes down then Dagger him. You will now get a Save Point!

Death of a Sand King (17%)

Farah has joined you. When you start there is a water fountain. Fuel up. Go around the outdoor balcony and jump over to where Farah is on the window landing. Hop down into the courtyard and kill the enemies. There is a new Save Point.

I'll Try to Find a Way In (19%)

Go up the stairs and grab the Sandcloud. Go past the gold emblem door and wall run so that you drop on the green/blue half-circle awning below. Do another wall run to the next half-circle awning then another one to the bar sticking out of the wall with the banners hanging down. Swing from bar to bar and land on the next half-circle awning. Turn around and wall run to the wooden awning below. Then, wall run or jump to the landing below. You'll find a rotating switch. Rotate it until it opens the gold-emblem door below you. Drop down and go through the door.

More enemies. Dispose of them. Here, I was able to fill all of my Power Tanks. When that happens you can do a Mega Freeze (See "Controls"). A Mega Freeze freezes everyone in the area. There is a Save Point in the middle of this room. Save.

Climbing the Tower (21%)

From the Save Point, exit out the door and grab the Sandcloud outside. Go back inside, to the Save Point and climb the rocks in the room. You will now get an overhead view. Wall run up the wall and grab onto the ledge. Shimmy to the right and jump to the metal bar. Swing to the next few bars and then you'll have a bar directly above you. Swing toward the wall, release, jump from the wall to the bar above you. Keep swinging from bar to bar until you get to a landing with a ladder. Go up the ladder. Pass the gold emblem door and wall run by the saws. Wall run by the next saws and you'll have hit the gold wall switch that opens the gold emblem door. Turn around and make your way back to the door and go through.

Do a wall run past the pit with spikes and go down the stairs. You meet up with Farah by hitting the gold floor switch. Go back up the stairs and Farah will automatically go through the crack in the wall and she'll open the door. Go through.

We are now in a large green/gray rotating platform room where we have to get to the bottom. Go down the first ramp and wall run to the silver symbol in the wall. From that symbol, wall jump to the hanging switch. Now Farah will activate another switch. You now have a ramp to go up...do so and go through the door.

Rats, another gold pull wall switch and obstacle course. This one isn't too hard. I just rolled my way through it avoiding the floor spikes and then rolling under the door. Do you see where you are? At the staircase you were just at a minute ago. Go through the door and go down to where Farah is standing. From there, jump to the landing with the pinchers and then wall run to the ramp going up. Jump up and grab the hanging switch. Farah does another switch. Then you can run down and pull the next hanging switch. Do the same to the next one down. And, one more and finally we have a ramp down to the platform where there is a gold wall switch out of our reach...for now.

Drop down to the ground level and fight the enemies. Kill the guys with blades with the wall push off move. Kill the sledge hammer guys with a vault move. Now that the area is cleared we have some crate pushing to do. There are also 2 water fountains if you need health. Run around until you find a crate and push it to the floor switch to the left if you're facing the gold emblem door. This will raise a platform so that you can get up to the above platform you were on earlier.

Next, you have to find the crate that's on top of the other wooden boxes. Do a wall run up the wooden boxes and push the crate off of the edge. Opposite this crate, across the room is a Sandcloud. Wall run up to it. Anyway, push this crate onto the other silver floor switch. This switch makes another platform raise on the up above platform where Farah is standing. There is a Save Point there.

The Warehouse (24%)

From the save point, run up the platform that the floor switch activated and hit the gold wall switch that was earlier out of your reach. This opens the gold emblem door below. Go through it. Work you way down the hall and you'll soon be outside. You'll soon reach the outside of the Sultan's Zoo. There is a Sandcloud to the side of the stairs.

Move toward the large bird cage and enemies will appear. There is a Save Point up the stairs, to the left of the bird cage.

The Sultan's Zoo (28%)

Near the Save Point there is a rock platform with a pole (actually the trunk of a Palm Tree) on it. Get up there and climb the palm tree. Jump to the landing behind you and then jump to the branch of the next palm tree. Swing to the top of the gate/gold emblem door. Drop down and hit the floor switch and Farah will come in.

Crap! Birds. Farah will take a few out with her arrows. Otherwise, the strategy for Birds is to block when they swoop down on you then attack right after you block them. Next, go into the side room/cave and pull the crate away from the wall. There is a crack that Farah will go through. She opens the door to the inner cage.

This is a series of bars and platforms. Jump up to the first bar, swing, wall jump and grab onto the bar above you. Swing to the next bar then onto the wooden landing. From the wooden landing, jump to the next bar. Keep doing this, going up, until you can get onto the ladder. Go up the ladder. Wall run to the pole then swing to the platform which lets you go through a hole in the side of the cage. Leap from the hole in the cage to the rock ledge across from you.

The angle looks weird here, but the palm tree that is on the rock ledge has a branch that you need to jump to. Do a wall run up the side of the cliff and jump to the branch. From the branch get to the top of the cage and turn the switch until you get a cut scene confirmation of a gold emblem door opening. From the switch, look around and find the Save Point on another rock ledge. Jump to it and Save.

Atop a Bird Cage (28%)

From the Save Point drop down, do a few swings on the two bars and you'll see the gold emblem door you just opened. Before you go through it, continue along this grassy ledge and you'll see a silver wall symbol and a hanging switch. Wall run up to the symbol and jump to the hanging switch. This lowers a ladder and Farah can climb up. Now, go through the gold emblem door that you went past just a second ago. Follow the path down and fight the Beetles. If you go all the way down you'll find a locked gold emblem door. From the area that you fought the Beetles, climb up the rock platform, break the barrels, and do a wall run to the gold wall emblem. From the emblem, jump to the hanging switch. That opens the door in front of you. Go into the cage and get the Sandcloud. Then, pull the crate back from the wall. At this point Farah should crawl through the hole in the wall. If she doesn't, backtrack until it triggers her to do it. Farah opens the lower door. Go through.

Great! Pull wall switch and obstacle course. Roll by the blades where the floor spikes aren't...use slo mo if you have to. Jump the gap, wall run by the saws, and slowly walk over the floor spikes so they don't trigger. Go through the closing door. Rope bridge and Save Point. Save.

Cliffs and Waterfall (33 %)

From the Save Point, go back to where Farah is standing and wall run to the rock platform with the palm tree. Climb up and jump to the next palm tree. Climb up this tree and jump to the rock ledge. Rats! 2 Birds. Kill them. Wall run to the small cut-out ledge with the ivy hanging down from it. You'll automatically grab on. Shimmy and then jump to the tree behind you. Slide down and grab the Sandcloud. Climb back up the tree and tree hop until you get to the water fall. Drink up some Health and some Birds will attack. Dispose of them. Crawl along the next ledge and drop down to the rope bridge. Cross the rope bridge by jumping the gaps then rotate the switch.

From the switch, you'll see two palm trees, one higher than the other. Do a wall run along the cliff wall and jump to the higher palm tree. Jump to the lower tree then to the landing. Finally, do a wall run back down to the original rope bridges and go back to the same Save Point and save again...you don't want to redo all of that.

Now, go to the door that you opened with the rotating switch above and you'll see Farah. Fight the Beetles. Continue down the hall...more Beetles. Soon you'll get to a hole in the wall. Go through and fight the enemies. A Save Point will appear in the room next to you. Save.

The Baths (33%)

From the save point, continue up the stairs and into the next segment of the Baths. You'll see a gold floor switch. There is a statue to the left of the switch. Pull the statue to cover the switch and you'll also reveal a crack in the wall for Farah.

The gold floor switch opened a door on the other side of this swinging log/wall jumping obstacle course. Wait for the log to swing at and above you (closest to the door you're standing in) then run under it and run straight toward the ledge so that you drop and you're hanging and the log can't touch you. Drop down to the bottom and do a wall run then jump from the wall and grab onto the bar. Swing across the pit and then wall jump from side to side to get up this next area. You'll end up hanging from the ledge and there is another swinging log. This time, wait for it to swing behind you then quickly get up from the ledge and roll to make it to the door.

Rats. You have some enemies to fight and you are now in an inner-bath of sorts with a central raised bath. When you're done fighting the enemies, you'll get a Save Point.

There's Something Glowing Up There (33%)

From the Save Point, take a look at the two golden wall switches. Push the statue into the wall causing it to push the gold wall switch on the left. That's one switch. Farah, is actually standing on a gold floor switch, so that's two. The third switch is the other gold wall switch. Do a wall run up to it and you'll activate it. Now, quickly run through the 3 doors that you just opened. There is a Sandcloud here. Then, you'll find a rotating switch. Rotate it and some water will drain from the baths.

Now, head to the central part of the room. Make sure that you're not on the raised stair area and face the Save Point. Behind you is the door you originally entered. To your right is a ledge that you need to get to. Now that the water is drained, you can wall run up to the small ledge on the right wall. From the ledge to the piping/bar to the pole behind you. Then to the next pole, back to a bar/plumbing, then swing all the way and grab the hanging wall switch. This will open the half-door half way. You got that, only half way. You need to go to the other side of the room and do exactly the same thing with the poles and the bars and the hanging switch. Once you have both hanging switches pulled, the half-door will be fully opened.

Now that the half-door is open, push the stone block through the hole and it'll drop down. At this point we have to backtrack back through the swinging logs and pit and make it back to the original Baths, but you may want to save at the save point in this room before you backtrack. But, whatever.

Now, backtrack. On the other side of the swinging logs you'll be back at the main Baths. You'll see the block that you pushed through the half-door. Continue to move the block so that it drops down another level using the cut-out for the water fall. Now, slide the block so that it is under the ladder on the side wall. Climb up the block and get onto the ladder. At the top of the ladder is a Sandcloud.

From this ledge at the top of the ladder we ARE NOT going through the opening above us. Instead, we are going over the railing and jumping to the ledge where the honeycomb window is broken out. Don't go through the window. Rather, shimmy along and then jump from the wall to the pole behind you. From the pole, jump to the wall ledge, and then pull yourself up and then shimmy through the broken iron bar gate. You are now in the next room over. Shimmy all the way to the end, you have to turn a couple of corners, then jump from the wall to the bar behind you. From the bar to the wooden platform, then wall run to the next wooden platform and the next one. Go through the door.

Wall run up the back wall and jump to the bar and swing all the way to the other side, follow the path and you'll get to a gold floor switch and some spinny blades. Go by them and go into the tan/brown room with the enemies inside. After the enemies are killed, a Save Point will become active.

Above the Baths (33%)

From the save point, go up the stairs. Go down the hall. See the armoire against the wall? Push it to the edge of the railing and wall run up it and grab onto the bar. Line up your swing with the column in front of you and then jump from column to column until you can get to the other side balcony with the Sandcloud on it. Grab the Sandcloud and then wall run from the balcony to the central altar where the "glowing thing" was...your new Sword!

Wall run back to where you just were and break through the door with your new sword. Go down the stairs. About half way down you'll notice a crack in the right side wall. Use your sword to break it open. This is a Health Upgrade tunnel. yay!

You'll be back on the stair case going down. Break through the door at the bottom and whalaa!, Farah and the Inner Baths. Cross the room and break through the door/wall on the other side with the crack in it. We're entering a murky dark down-below outdoor area. Move the stone block into position so that you can climb onto it, do a wall run up the wall and then jump to the bar. Swing to the middle stone structure. From this platform, jump to the side platform with a torch on it. Now shimmy along the rock wall edge. Drop down to the two lower ledges and then do the side to side wall jump to make your way up to the higher ledge on your right. Make your way along those ledges and then jump to the central platform with the Sandcloud. Hang from the edge of this platform and drop down. It's hard to see, but there is a small ledge below you that you'll grab onto. Jump from here to the side wall. Shimmy until you get to the room with Farah and the rotating switch.

Prince of Persia 1: in this room you'll see a slightly different colored part of the wall. Smash through the wall with your sword and rotate the switch so that the handle points toward the gate in the secret room. Enter and you'll have unlocked Prince of Persia 1. Save Point.

A Long Buried Secret (40%)

From the save point, go back to the rotating switch and this time rotate the switch until the door opens and then kill the Beetles. Pull the stone block out from the wall and Farah will go through the crack. Push the block so that it is against the right side wall as you're looking down the hallway with the 3 interspersed platforms. Do some wall runs and then jump from the wall to each platform until you are across. Climb up the ladder.

Go into the room with the enemies. After they are disposed of you'll get a Save Point.

Day Break (43%)

From the save point break through the cracked stone door. Grab some water at the water fountain on your right if you need it. Go down the hall and break the barrels and step on the gold floor switch. Go through the door that it opens and you'll be in the mess hall. Another big fight. Watch out for Farah's health.

After the fight, replenish your Health at the lower water fountain, then go up the stairs to the Save Point.

A Soldier's Mess Hall (46%)

Head back down to the lower area of this mess hall. Climb up on the rubble and do a wall run and you'll grab onto the bar. Swing to the next bar then to the ledge. Shimmy around the corner an then jump to the next bar, then to the next ledge. Hop up to the ledges above you, grab the Sandcloud then jump to the next bar and swing to the platform. Do a wall run to the next platform and hit the gold floor switch to go through the door.

You are now outside! There is a raised drawbridge at one end. With your back to the drawbridge, the left path around the outside of the castle is nothing...we'll be coming down on that scaffolding later. So, head to the right side and get onto the bars and start swinging. Make your way up to the spinning poles. Avoid them. When you turn the corner you'll have a nasty set of spikes and some more spinning poles. Do a wall run to avoid the spikes. Make your way around to the gold wall symbol and wall run up to it and jump to the hanging switch behind you. Go through the door.

Go down the stairs and grab the hanging switch with the silver floor symbol below it and this will move a ladder into place so that Farah can join you. Slide down the ladder for fun and you'll see that you are back in the Mess Hall. If you want, you can save here.

Otherwise, go back up the ladder and back up the stairs and Farah will be able to crawl under the partially opened door and she'll raise it for you. Wall run to the hanging switch. This lowers the drawbridge that we saw earlier. There is also a Sandcloud here.

Exit out the door that leads to the outside and you'll see that handy scaffolding that I told you about earlier. Drop down and head to the drawbridge. Enemies! Be careful not to fall off of the drawbridge. Once the enemies are gone, a Save Point appears near the drawbridge. Save.

The Drawbridge (46%)

Cross the drawbridge and head inside and rotate the switch to make the door open. Enter this very vertical room and climb up to the broken stair case. See the column against the wall about half way up the stairs? Farah should be standing near it. You need to use that to wall jump from to get to the hanging bar. From the hanging bars make your way from bar to bar and then land on the platform and pull the hanging switch. This will rotate the central bridge. Farah will tell you to pull it again. Drop down and do so...which will trigger Farah to do it again, and then you'll have to pull it one more time.

From this hanging switch climb up on the rock and then to the ledge above you. Watch out for the saw. Get up to the upper ledge and then jump from the wall to the wooden central bridge. From the bridge, jump to the hole in the wall. Go through the hole in the wall and you'll be outside. Now break the barrels, wall run to the bar, and swing up to the next platform. Go back inside and activate the hanging switch. The bridge is now there to meet you. Go out onto the bridge and Farah will rotate it for you. Jump to the wall ledge and up the next ledge and then jump to the ladder. Go up the ladder. Go past the gold emblem door and jump to the hanging switch at the end of the platform. This will move a ladder into place so that Farah can get up. Go back to the gold emblem door and Farah will crawl and open it for you.

You are now on an outside bridge. Farah will run to the other side and you have to deal with some Birds. Block then swipe them. Farah might also take some out with her bow. Go to the Save Point and save. The bridge will collapse.
