Introduction and Tips

About
This walkthrough was written playing through with "Normal" difficulty and "Normal" riddles. We have, however, included "Easy" and "Difficult" riddle solutions. Still, if you're playing through on "Easy" and read about us doing something, like gassing moths to pass through a hall, and you don't have to do that, don't worry. Just keep moving forward. If you're playing though on "Hard" and we say there's Ammo in a room and you can't find it, it's because you're playing on "Hard", and you shouldn't need our help.

Ammo
It's important to save your Ammo for bigger bosses. Use melee weapons (STEEL PIPE is our favorite) when you can. Also, note that you don't have to kill most monsters in this game. Your goal is to pass through, not kill every monster you encounter.

Endings
There are three different endings you can get in this game, although you will get the "Normal" ending the first time you play through the game. The "Possessed" ending comes when you kill over 100 monsters, and you take over 1000 points of damage (to do this, you should make sure every monster hits you once). Also, there's a part in the Chapel's Confessional where you are asked if you will forgive Claudia. You must do this for the "Possessed" ending. Finally, to obtain the "Revenge" ending, you must acquire the Heather Beam (beat the game on "Hard"), and use it on 30 monsters on your next play through. When you do this, and you get to Harry's Room in the game, the game will be over, with a wacky ending, to boot.

Your health is reflected in the Status Screen found in the Options menu. When you hit "Start" you'll see an image of Heather. If it's flashing yellow, you're about halfway hurt, when it's red, you're in trouble. Also, your controller will rumble when you're really hurting.

Seriously, take breaks. Games like this aren't healthy if you don't take breaks.

Controls
You can choose between two controller options, "A" or "B". This walkthrough was written referring to the "B" control configuration. We suggest you do the same.
