This is not a game for beginners. It is very hard. Not impossibly hard, but if Gun Valkyrie made you go nuts, then Enclave will surely do the same. The game itself is like a Medieval "Halo". You can play it in either the Third or First person through 13 "light" and 12 "dark" missions. In the "light" category there are six classic RPG-esque characters to unlock and choose: Druid, Knight, Halfling, Engineer, Huntress, and Wizard. Each character has unique weapons, attributes, and power-ups. There are also six "dark" characters: Berserker, Assassin, Sorceress, Lich, Bombardier, and Goblin.
Graphics
Amazing. Richly detailed, nary a dead spot, camera excellent (because you can switch from 1st to 3rd person at any time), explosions are cool, characters and weapons are highly detailed, environment is interactive (i.e. you can break windows, etc.).

Some of the best we've seen. Two control stick movement like Halo and May Payne. Excellent aiming system...you have a green/red dot when you use an airborne weapon (bow, crossbow, etc.) or a magic attack. It's similar to the N64 Zeldas when Link would use the Chain Retractor. Makes it very easy to both aim and see where you're going. Upgrade system is not overwhelming...you have several upgrades to choose from instead of dozens or hundreds. You can actually see how much damage you've done to an enemy in empirical terms. A number literally floats up from the enemy when you hit them. This way, you know that the game registers a head-shot as much more damaging than a stomach shot. Very nice! All in all, frustration free. Amazing, we know.
Summary
One of the best games we've played in a while. Make sure that you have many, many hours to deal with this game as you'll be playing the same level over and over. You can't save during gameplay...nasty, but we love it. It's a challenge. Finally! Like we said, if you're a beginner at games (or Xbox games), you don't stand a chance. Get good at Halo, then get good at Max Payne. Then, take on Gunvalkyrie, Nightcaster, or Obi-Wan. Only then will you be able to deal with Enclave.
