Tatooine

When you land on Tatooine, you can do the Dwindling Supplies to Strange Stowaway side quest (below). Otherwise, exit the ship. Talk to the Customs Agent. Collect the supplies in the footlockers around the outside of your ship and go to Anchorhead. Do some exploring and you'll discover various sidequests...see below for details. The Hunting Lodge buys things you've killed, you can go to the Czerka Co. and to get a hunting license, and you can go to the swoop races for money. There is also a Cantina and a Droid Shop. In the Czerka Office talk to the woman there. You'll find out about Griff (Mission's brother) and she'll offer you a hunting license if you take care of some Sandpeople for her. Work your way through exploring etc., fight the dark jedi you encounter, take their crystals. When you're done exploring, head to the Dune Sea in the East. You need a Hunter's License to get out that gate. You get it from the Czerka Office when you agree to do the Sand People quest. Talk to the Jawa at the gate and get another side quest. Then, show your Hunter's License to the guy at the gate.

Now in the Dune Sea, you'll be attacked by Sand People. Take them out. Head toward the smoking sand crawler and talk to the Miners. You'll be attacked by several waves of Sand People. Take them out. They aren't hard. After they're dead, talk to the Miner Captain and he'll tell you about the Sand People enclave in the south. Go past the Sand Crawler to the right of it and face more Sand People and their dinosaur horses. After the fight pick up the Sand People Clothing. After that, explore the rest of the map out to the East. If you have enough costumes you can infiltrate the Sand People area in the South. If not, just keep going East. After killing the Sand People there, head to the South East side of the Sand Crawler and go to the wreckage. You'll be ambushed. Kill the Gamorreans. Now head to the Eastern Sea Dune marker. It says you can't go there because you are an outsider and won't understand the stone markings. So, off "To the Sand People Territory" in the south. If you only have two Sand People clothes, use a droid in your party. If you've found three, go ahead and don them all.

Head South to where all the Sand People are standing. Walk by them (in your crafty disguise) and go to the "Sand People Territory." Continue South through this area, past the various Sand People and Banthas to the Sand People Enclave. You are told to either get a translator or fight them all. I want to get the translator droid so I choose a hasty escape.

Keep exploring the Sand People Territory and when you're ready, warp back to the Ebon Hawk. It's time to make some money so that you can afford that translator robot. Go to Anchorhead and go to the Hunter's Lodge. Sell anything and everything that you can. To get the "sell" list from him hit the "X" button. Anyway, once you win your first race (see below) you can turn in your race bonds to the Hunter's Lodge for 60 credits each. After you have completed the Swoop Racing side quest, you'll have enough money to buy the Translator Droid at the Droid Shop so that you can return to the Sand People Enclave. Do so, but don't but the droid in your party quite yet. Instead, dress yourself and two other party members in the Sand People Clothes, and get to the Enclave. You won't be recognized this way. Immediately before entering the Enclave put HK-47 into your party, then enter.

Speak to him with the droid. Be nice. We bring peace (we're good, remember?). You are brought to the chieftan. Once again, we bring peace. Ask what he wants. He wants vaporators. Fair enough. Off to the vaporators! Warp back to the Ebon Hawk. We got a scene and journal entry called Bastila's Mother. She is in the Cantina. Head there. You are given the Bastila's Mother sidequest. After the conversation, head to the Czerka Office. Speak to the Protocol Officer. She makes it clear a peaceful solution is not what you were hired to accomplish. Speak to the guy behind the counter. Tell him you need the vaporators for a peaceful solution. We bought them from him for 400 credits.

With the vaporators, head back to the Enclave and to the Sand Chieftan. Speak to the guard outside and tell him you have the moisture vaporators. Inside, tell the Cheiftan you have the vaporators. He will tell you attacks will lesson and he will give you the Chieftan Gaffi Stick. You are also told you can explore the area...but be careful. We were not careful, and we accidentally opened a basket which put everyone against us. There went that. Picking up the remains, you will find many good things, including a Map of the Eastern Dune Sea.

Exit out the door and fight any enemies you encounter. Work your way around the outer circle. You should run into Griff along the way, this is Mission's Brother. Talk to him. Next to Griff (on the east side of the complex) is a door. Open it and you will have located the imprisoned Jawas (Fair Trade). Fight your way from the Enclave to the Eastern Dune Sea. With your map in hand, you can enter with no problem.

Move forward to the large cave to the NE of your entrance. Watch as some guy gets toasted by the dragon. Speak to Komad. Offer your help. You will be told there are mines surrounding the cave, and you need to get the dragon out somehow. Dragons like Banthas. Your Bantha fodder will attract Banthas. We have the fodder (from inside the Enclave, next to the Banthas), but putting it out there will cause a Sand People attack. Ah well. When you get back you have a new Journal Entry: A Desert Hunt.

Exit the cave and Calo will be outside waiting for you. You travelled a long way just to die, Calo. Fight, fight and fight some more. Once you kill them all, be sure to pick up Calo's remains, as he has 2000 credits, armor, and other goodies. At this point you can hop on your ship for your next journey, but we have some loose ends to tie up. Head back to Anchorhead. At the Ebon Hawk Griff and Mission will meet up (Mission's Brother). After that, head to the Czerka Office and give the Chieftain's Gaffi Stick and other gaffi sticks to the Protocol Officer. Here you will also find Griff again. He needs glands of sort. We'll help him, but not now. Heading through Anchorhead you will be approached by someone telling you you dropped a Datapad. You don't remember doing so, but you take it anyway and you will get the Genoharadan journal entry. Nothing we can do about that now, so head to the Cantina. Inside, be nice to Bastila's mother and you will be able to keep the Holocron. Now you just have to meet up with Iziz at the gate to complete the Fair Trade journal entry, and you're done with Tatooine. Return to your ship. We're off to Wookieville

Tatooine Sidequests

Dwindling Supplies
Your supplies in the Cargo Hold of the Ebon Hawk are low. Someone is eating them. Check the ship to see if you find a stowaway. Go around the ship until you get a message saying that you hear footsteps in the cargo room. It's a little girl.

Strange Stowaway
Talk to the little girl. Keep trying to learn her language until you can talk to her in her own language. You learn that she is from Dantooine. Maybe someone there will recognize her. After getting the Star Map on Tatooine, we went back to Dantooine to see if anyone knew about this little girl. There's really nothing you can do with this one. Eventually, she'll go off on her own and the objective will be complete. This happened after Manaan for us.

The Trouble with Gizka
Outside of the Ebon Hawk someone will tell you of a delivery of Gizka to your ship. There's nothing you can do about these little monsters now, so just leave them alone.

Sand People

In the Czerka Office, the woman will ask you to take out the Sand People's leader and bring the gaffi stick as proof back to the Czerka Office. Upon exiting the Hunter's Lodge, you'll be informed that if you find a sophisticated translation droid you can just communicate with them and you won't have to spill blood. Also, you are told that if you have Sand Robes you can sneak in much easier. Go to the Droid Shop and haggle as much as you can to get the price down on the HK-47 translation droid. When you have enough money, buy it. Along your exploration of the Dune Sea, whenever you kill a Sand Person, make sure to check if he left you clothing so that you and your party can sneak in. You only need to outfits because you can use your droid as one member of your party...however, we got three and stayed with our party sans droid. Also, note you're picking up Gaffi Sticks along the way.

After some time, money and exploration, you get into the Sand Enclave (above). When you speak with the chieftan peacefully, and ask him what he wants, he'll say vaporators from the Czerka Office. Back in town and in the Czerka Office speak honestly with the guy behind the counter and you can purchase the vaporators for 400 credits. Head back to the Enclave.

With the vaporators, head back to the Enclave and to the Sand Chieftan. Speak to the guard outside and tell him you have the moisture vaporators. Inside, tell the Cheiftan you have the vaporators. He will tell you attacks will lesson and he will give you the Chieftan Gaffi Stick. You are also told you can explore the area...but be careful. You are to give the Chieftan Gaffi Stick to the Protocol Officer in the Czerka Office. When you do you will get 500 credits and several XP. Complete.

Signing Nico
In the Swoop Race place, persuade Nico to sign with Motta the Hutt. Keep talking to Motta and use the "persuade" on him until Bastila chimes in and uses a Force Persuasion on him to lower the maintenance fee. After that, talk to Nico. He'll tell you that you need to win some races first. After you win all 3 tiers of races, talk to Nico. He'll accept the new contract.

Tatooine Swoop Racing
You need to win a race before you can persuade Nico to sign with Motta. You have to dish out 100 credits to Motta to race. Beat the time, 23:90, in the first tier to earn 10 racing bonds. If you need to, you can practice the track for 20 credits then do the real one for 100 when you're good. Anyway, once you have your 10 racing bonds go to the Hunter's Lodge and sell them for 60 credits each.

Now race in tier 2. You have a new time to beat: 23:29. Just keep at it. When you win that one go on to tier 3: 22:51. This one is tough. There are no upgrades, you just have to hit as many of the speed bursts as possible. I got 22:43 as my winning time.

Droid For Sale
Once you have enough money (we got it to 2500 after bargaining, then a small Dark Side threat) go to the droid shop. You can earn enough money by doing the above Swoop Racing side quests. Anyway, head to the Droid Shop and buy the HK-47 Translator Droid. Side quest complete.

Mission's Brother
He works in a Czerka mine. You will locate him in the Sand People Enclave after meeting with the Chieftan and being given permission to move around the Enclave. Next time you go back to the Ebon Hawk Mission and Griff will meet up. We gave him 100 credits. He invites you to meet up with him in Greeta's Shop, in the Czerta Office. He wants a tach glands. We'll get them when we can.

Fair Trade
The Jawa at the gate of the Dune Sea will tell you that the Sand People are holding Jawas captive in the Enclave. You will find them in the Enclave only after you have received the Chieftain's Gaffi Stick and are given permission to wander the Enclave. They are on the east side of the Enclave, across from where you encounter Griff. Once you locate them, you have to go back to the Jawa at the gate (Iziz). When you do you will get credits and your objective is complete.

Tanis Trapped
Tanis' wife set a trap for him on their anniversary. He's in the North central area of Dune Sea, not far from the gate you used to get out to the Dune Sea. He's surrounded by hovering droids. You have to disassemble the droids so they don't kill Tanis. One droid can blow and Tanis can survive.
K-X12A To disable manually, log on and answer that Node 2 is reporting accurately.
K-X12B To disable manually, log on and answer that the missing number is 7.
K-X12C To disable manually, log on and answer 120.
K-X12D To disable manually, log on and answer the third option (31-13-12-14 23-41-12-14).
For all your work you should get at least 400 credits and XP. Complete.

Bastila's Mother
After agreeing to find the vaporators for the Sand Chieftan and warping back to the Ebon Hawk, we were told Bastila's mother was in teh Cantina. Go speak to her with Bastilla (her name is Helena). Helena wants you to find Bastila's father's holocron. OK. You will find it in the krayt dragon's cave in the Eastern Dune Sea after defeating the krayt dragon. Take the holocron to her. We were nice to Bastila's mother, and she let us keep the holocron. Complete.

Genoharadan
After finishing the main quest on Tatooine, you will run into someone in the village who gives you a Datapad. It says talk to Hulas on Manaan alone.
