We have to find Bastila. We are in the Hideout. You'll get a journal entry The Search for Bastila.
In the hideout you'll find your first workbench. This is a place where you can upgrade your weapons and
armor if you have upgrades to add on. Once you get your lightsabers, this will be the place
to add crystals, etc.
Leave the Hideout and select Carth for your party. You are now in the South Apartments.
When you get out into the hallway you'll have
to fight some Sith and droids. When they're dead, talk to the Duros (alien guy) and ask about
whether the patrol will be missed. The Duros will tell you that he'll hide the bodies for you.
Start moving counter clockwise around the circle ring of apartments. Don't leave the area, make
the complete circle. Investigate the various rooms/doors
that you can go into. The goal here is to collect items from footlockers, etc. and to find out
information from the people you encounter.
Be polite when talking to people. You'll also find Larrim. He sells you stuff. The Janitor
tells you to check out the Cantina. You'll also find Dia in a room, freaked out because there's a
bounty on her head. This will provide you with an opportunity for some Light Side Points with the
Dia's Bounty Sidequest (explained later). Once the full circle is complete, go to the South door
that leads to Upper City South.
Now in the Upper City, you'll learn about the ability to warp back to your hideout in non-battle situations.
This is handy to heal yourself of to make a long trip shorter. You get to this option by accessing
your map screen. This feature will also work to return you to the Ebon Hawk (your ship) when you get it
later. Go ahead and transit back to the hideout and then transit back. This will complete
the journal entry and familiarize you with that feature.
Carth will talk to you. This is your first personal party journal entry. It will be there throughout
the entire game. It basically summarizes what you have talked about. These aren't essential. Just
talk to your party members every so often to keep things updated.
Head South past the Equipment Emporium and go to the Upper City Cantina. Here you will find some
Pazaak players. This is a little side-game. If you want, play some Pazaak. Talk to Jergen, the band
leader. If you give him the 20 credits he'll run away with it and you won't ever get to meet
the band. So, just ignore him. Explore some more of the Cantina and check out the dueling area.
Then, exit out of the Cantina.
Go North past the store and then go East. On the right is a medical facility. Talk to
Zelka. This will give you the Rakghoul Serum Sidequest in your journal. There is a locked
door to the lab. Use Carth's unlock skill to open it up. You will get light side points. On your way out, Gurney will talk
to you and tell you that Davik will pay 10 times the amount for the Rakghoul Serum.
Exit out and head North across the way. You'll run into some bullies. Tell them to leave
the man alone. Then, fight the Bounty Hunters. Give the guy that needs to pay Davik 100 credits.
It's really not that much. There's at least that much on the remains of the 2 bounty hunters.
Continue North to Upper City North.
You are now in Upper City North. Directly North are some more apartments. Go West, avoiding the apartments
for now. At the end of the path, the South door is a Droid Shop. Go North and talk to the Sith Guard.
He tells you that you need some Authorization Papers or a Sith Uniform to get into the lower city.
Directly North of here is "Military Base" door that is impossible to open right now. Backtrack
to the apartments mentioned earlier. They are North of where you entered Upper City North. Along
the way you'll run into some drunkards. Persuade them that you'll buy them a drink
to avoid a confrontation. Enter the North Apartments.
Now in the North Apartments, go counter clockwise investigating the ring of apartments. In the first
door on your right (use Carth if you don't have security skills to open the door) you'll find Largo and you will get the
Largo's Bounty sidequest entry in your journal. You really just have a light or dark decision to make. For Light Side points,
give Largo the 200 credits to pay off the bad guys.
Open the footlocker for some goodies. Continue going around the apartments. Soon, you'll
run into some Sith Guards questioning a guy about Sith Uniforms. Get involved and kill the Sith.
Talk to the alien prisoner. You are told of the Hidden Beks. A group who is against
the Sith. You are told to talk to Gadon Thek. This is also where you get some Sith Armor. Check
the remains to get it. Don't put it on yet, though. Once you have completed
the ring of apartments, exit back out to Upper City North.
Now outside the apartments, head West and then North. You're going to talk to the Sith Guard
at the elevator to the lower city. But first, put on your Sith Armor by using your "Equip" menu.
Talk to the guard and he'll let you pass. Enter the door and go to the Lower City.
You are in the Lower City. Take off you Sith Armor. Move forward and you'll get a cutscene. You will be forced to fight a few
Black Vulkars. Do so and head West. Enter the Cantina. Start exploring the Cantina. You'll run into Calo Nord,
the Bounty Hunter sent to also find Bastila. Continue exploring and you'll meet Mission and Zaalbar.
Talk to Mission. Ask her what you want to know. Mission and Zaalbar leave. Don't worry, you'll meet up with them later.
Talk to
whomever else you'd like to talk to and exit the Cantina. Outside, continue heading west (now north) to the Hidden Bek Base.
Say you need
Gadon's help. Say you could be an ally. You are allowed to enter. Do so.
Inside the Hidden Bek Base. Speak to Gadon. Ask him for info about the Escape Pods. Remind him you are not Sith.
He'll tell you Bastila
survived and the Vulkars have enslaved her. Say you have to rescue her. Ask him what the Swoop Race has to do with anything.
He'll
tell you Bastila is a prize in the swoop race. The only way to save her is to win the race yourself. Ask for help.
Then ask what
Gadon is proposing. He'll sponsor you, but only if you sneak in the Vulkar Base and steal the protype accelerator for him.
Gadon
tells you Mission may be able to help you. She should be roaming the Undercity. Gadon will give you the Security Papers you
want in
exchange for your Sith Uniform. Say "OK". Done deal.
Move NW and take out the bad guys. Continue forward and you'll get another cutscene of Davik's thugs threatening people.
Here you
meet Canderous. Speak to him. Continue heading west. More Vulkars to toast. Past them is the Undercity Entrance. Show your
papers to the Sith Guard and go into the Elevator.
In the Undercity, pay the two men the five credits and you will meet Shaleena. After a long talk, you are told to find Gendar.
Explore the town. You will meet the Old Man of the Village, Rukil. He will ask you to find his apprentice, Malya, who is
past the gate and you will get the Rukil's Apprentice sidequest journal entry. Across from Rukil is Gendar.
Speak to him for some more info. Once you have explored,
approach the South gate and speak to the woman next to it. You will
be told of the quarantined people inside. You are also told entering the area is dangerous. Here you will get the
Infected Outcasts sidequest journal entry.
We like danger...but not
quite yet. Instead, head to the Village gate to the NE. Convince the man at the gate to let you in to save the man being attacked
behind the gate. He will do so. Behind the gate, you must kill the Rakghoul. With the help of the guy you were protecting, the
Rakghoul is fairly easy to take out.
Now that you're beyond the gate, head west and Mission will approach you. Zaalbar has been taken. Help her get Zaalbar back and
she'll get you into the Vulkar Base. With that, Mission has joined your party. When you control Mission, dress her up. We like Mission to
use the Vibroblade. Continuing west you'll get another cutscene. It's Canderous again. Then the Rakghouls attack. Take them up. Grenades
work well here. Ask Canderous some questions, blah, blah, blah. Continue West, fight the many Rakghouls. After killing them, you
will find an Outcast Corpse. On the Corpse you will find a Promised Land Apprentice Journal. Good to have.
Head to the Eastern side of this area (don't go into the sewers yet) and fight the rakghouls and find the 3 corpses
of the Sith Soldiers. Search the remains and you'll find some Rakghould Serum. At this point there are 2 sidequests
that you can do. You don't have to do them now and can go back later. In fact it is much easier
to go back once you are leveled up a little and have Bastila in the group. Check the sidequest list for Rakghould Serum and Infected
Outcasts.
Now, check out your map and head North to the dot that says "To Sewers". Enter the Lower Sewers. Avoid the mine,
pass through the
door and kill the Rhakghouls. You have two doors you can pass through. Take the one that leads SE. Mission can disable the
mines in this area.
Check the Computer and you'll be told that behind the force field is the way into the Vulkar Base, but we have to deal with
Zaalbar first. So, continue
through the next door. You're in a circular room with some Gamorrean you must kill. Once you do, collect their remains and
move through the west door. Behind the first door on your right are more Rhakghouls to kill. Do so and collect the
Promised Land Journal from the corpse.
Head out and throught the north door. Here are more Gamorreans to kill. Beyond them is a ladder leading to the Undercity.
Don't worry
about that for now. Instead, go back to the circular room and pass through the southern sewer door. Work your way to the
next circular room. Again you'll have to kill some Rhakghouls. Eek.
Once you kill them, the door to the south leads to a small room with a few goodies in it. Then, pass through the SW door,
disable the mine,
and go through the next door. Again with the Rakghoul. You are in another circular room. Collect some
goodies and then go through the NW door. Then, through the N door. More Rakghouls. There is a mine
blocking the door. Disarm it if you can. Otherwise, try to go around it and try to go through the door.
It's locked. Use Mission to open it.
You'll have some Gamorreans to kill. Use grenades and whatever else you can. Unlock the weapons locker
to get some weapons. Continue heading East. More Gamorreans. Use grenades again, if you have them.
Be sure to save before these battles as you are likely to die several times. The door holding Zaalbar (the Wookiee)
will open automatically and Mission has Zaalbar back. Yay!
Remember that Force Field we encountered oh so long ago? That's where we'll be heading. At this point
if you want Zaalbar in your party you can edit your party through the Map Menu.
You'll get the journal entry A Rancor in the Sewers.
Continue East into the long hallway and go North. In the first door on your right
you will find another Promised Land Journal. Exit out to the hallway and continue North. You will now be back at the
Force field.
Have Mission use the computer to lower the Force Field. Go through and it'll take you
to the Upper Sewers.
Go through the door and you're in a circular room. Take out the bad guys. Go through the SE door.
Disable the mine and grab the goodies. There is a ladder here and some Med pacs. Now go through
the NE door. Fight the bad guys and you'll have another circular room. Go through the NE door
and be ready for a lot of Gamorreans. There are also some goodies here once you take care of them.
Then, go through the SE door. Disable the mine. Go forward and find the Bek Datapad and Synthesized Odor on the Severed
Arm. Read the Datapad. It says if you can find the proper bait,
you can put the odor in it and the Rancor will eat something that is fatal. Interesting. Go into "Stealth" mode
as Mission and enter Rancor's room. Locate the pile of bones in the room and
collect what you find from them...one item being the Frag Grenade. Select the bones again, and this time, give the Frag Grenade,
then
a Synthesized Odor in the pile. Rancor will eat the bait, then the Frag Grenade will blow up his insides. Nice.
Pass through the door and attack the two Vulkar guards. Pick up the remains. Go through the door, into the elevator and you will
emerge on the Black Vulkar Base. When this happens, you'll get the Inside the Black Vulkar Base journal entry.
Pass through the door.
Move through the door in front of you, then, again through the next door. This area of the Vulkar Base is basically one big
rectangle. This area is mostly clearing a hall of Vulkars, checking out a room, and collecting items and info. It's best
if you clear the area first so that the map is revealed (or you can spend some spikes on the computer to upload the area
schematics). Once you have done some wandering, exploring, and clearing out of the Vulkars make sure
to visit the Rec Room on the Eastern side of the Base. There is a waitress there who will tell you that
the accelerator prototype may be in the garage. In the middle of the map you'll find the Armory.
Across from the armory is a computer. After you clear the area, slice into the computer terminal opposite
the "Armory" and go to "Security Cameras." From there, find the "Barracks" cam and then choose to "Overload
the power conduit." This way we have taken care of the Barracks, on the West side of the map, where there
were about 7 guys that are cumulatively hard to kill.
From the computer make sure to go into the Armory and stock up on much needed items. From the Armory
head West. Go through the Security Door and fight the Black Vulkar. He will start talking
to you once you hit him a few times. Let him live for Light Side Points. Open the footlocker.
Go to the next door to the West. This is the Barracks, where we toasted all those guys with the power
overload. There will be one more guy to kill. Check all of the remains and you'll get a Pass Card.
Stock up on the goodies in the bins and footlockers. Continue on North. Exit the barracks and go
through the door across the hall. You are in a pool room. Run into the pool, avoid the gas, and open
the footlocker. There are some very valuable upgrades in there. Exit out of the pool room.
By this time you should have most of the map of this area revealed. Notice in the mid-North of your map
the "Garage Security." Head there. There is a security panel. Insert your passcard that you got from
the Barracks and the door will open for you. The garage is now accessible. Go through the security door,
and into the elevator.
You are still in the Black Vulkar Base, but in an assembly/garage area. Go forward and take the
path to the West. You'll have to fight the Garage Head and two other guys. Check the remains. Continue
West then North and go through the first door on your right. You'll have to fight a couple of Vulkar Gang Members.
Continue to the North and fing the computer terminal and choose to open all security doors. From the computer,
check out the Garage Head's Desk and grab the Garage Head Key Card. Exit out and head back to the area you first entered from
the elevator.
Now, take the Southern path from here. Disable the mines. Fight the Vulkar Guard. When you can go south no longer,
take the path to the West. These are some swoop bike repair areas. In the Westernmost room you'll
find a workbench. Upgrade your items if you have some upgrades...and you should! Leave that room and go to the East now.
Check out the rooms, fight the Vulkar Guards and such. There will be a couple of security doors leading to the same room. They
are heavily secured, but, you have the Garage Head Key Card, so not to worry. Open them up. Inside you'll find some enemies. Tell them
you are not one of the Beks. Say you won't join their "gang" and toast them. Disable the Mine and pick up the Swoop Accelerator
behind it. Here's your part. You can exit out of this area now, but I suggest heading North to the main room...where we first
came in after the elevator to the Garage.
In the central area, head right and take out the Vulkar Patrol Droid (Ion Grenade). Then, go through the east door which leads to the loading
docks. Prepare yourself, as you have a nasty to fight here. I recommend taking him out by having all party members toss grenades his way (preferrably
of the plasma persuasion). Once you clear him out, go to the Strong Boxes to your right and unlock them. You will find some nice items
inside these boxes...well worth the fight.
Now, backtrack to the actual "base" section of the map, and take the path south of the Armory to the Lower City. Immediately upon
entering you will be attacked. Be prepared. Continue to the West and take out guards. Work your way
back to the Hidden Bek Base. Go up to the desk and talk to Gadon. Tell him you have
the accelerator. Time for some swoop racing. Tell him you're ready and you won't disappoint him.
After the cut scene you'll be in the swoop pits. Time to learn how to swoop race. There are accelerator
panels on the course that you need to hit to propel you along your way. You shift gears with
the "A" button when it tells you. To start, try to time pushing the "A" button with the green light.
Practice is the key. Once you know a track it's pretty easy. You steer the swoop bike with the control stick.
Go speak to the race announcer and start the race. We got a time of just over 27 seconds. You are told
that that is very fast. Now, you have to do it again. The time to beat is 26:90. Once you do that
you have won the swoop races. The leader of the Vulkars, Brejik, will call you a cheater. He will
withdraw his offer of Bastila. Bastila will hear this and free herself. Hah!
Time to fight all the bad guys that are in this area. Just try to stay alive while Bastila does most of the work.
You can even run away if you'd like. Once everyone is dead check the remains of Brejik. You'll get
Bastila's double bladed lightsaber and some other good stuff. Talk to Bastila and tell her you're here
to save her. Tell her that Carth is waiting. You'll be taken to him.
Now you have to find a way off of this planet. Speak to Bastila about the vision and you are given a hint
that you may be strong with the Force. You will get a journal entry, Escaping Taris.
You are told you need departure codes, a ship, and help from a local to get off of this planet.
You are now back at the hideout.
When you exit your hideout you'll be approached by a Sil'keth. He tells you to meet
Canderous in the Upper City Cantina. Go out to Upper City South. Head South, past the store,
to the Cantina Entrance. Go talk to Canderous. He needs you to steal the Sith Launch Codes from the Sith Base.
But, you need a T3 droid to get into the Sith Base. Go to Janice Nall's shop and buy a T3 droid in the SW side of
Upper City North. Go in and drop Canderous' name. Persuade her to sell it to you for half. Then she bargains with
you. Buy it. You need it.
From the droid shop go directly North to the Sith Base. Use your new droid on the door to the Sith Base.
Enter.
You are now in the Sith Base. The receptionist will question why you are there. Bribe her with 50 credits
and let her go. There is a door to the N and one to the W. Remember, we're looking for Sith Launch Codes.
Enter the West room and fight the Sith Troopers. Search the remains of the Technician's body
to get a data pad. Go back to the receptionist room and now through the North door. Go into the first
door on your left. Kill the droids in here and search the remains. You'll get a computer probe.
Equip your droid with it to increase his skills.
Exit into the hallway and go into the next door on your right. Take out the droids and disable the mine
in front of the computer terminal. Now, switch to being your T3 droid. Approach the computer
and slice in. From here you can view the various cameras and you will have the option
to overload the power conduit of various rooms which will help kill off a roomful of badguys. Choose
which ones you want to do. Some of it depends on how many computer spikes you have. We did
the Barracks (Secondary) and we uploaded the area schematics.
Exit out and continue down the hall through the door. Defeat the two guards. Notice the imprisoned Duros. Speak to him. He helped you out
before, and now you need to free him.
The deal is that in order to free Duros you have to solve the wall puzzle. All the arrows need to be in the
down, red position in order to free him. But, one you operate one panel, it also operates the panel next to it.
Hit the last panel on the right. Then, hit the middle panel. Then, hit the panel on the far left. Duros is free. Light side points.
After freeing the Duros, you have several doors to choose from. Pass through the north one and collect the items in the Foot Locker.
Exit out and pass through the West door. Kill the Sentry Droid, and go all the way to the Armory at the far end of the hall.
Have the
T3 droid unlock the door and pass through. Take out the two turrets and collect the goodies from the Foot Lockers. Exit out.
Now, from here you can
go into either of the doors along the hall. Both will lead to fights with a few bad guys for XP points, but nothing really big
comes out of them. SO,
we ignored them, ran back down the hall to where we freed the Duros and passed through the east door. Again, kill the Sentry Droid. Then, pass through the
door on your right. We already toasted the guys inside these Barracks via the computer overload, so it should be cleared out. Go to the
Foot locker and inside you will find the Sith Base Passcard. Exit out and head right. Go through the door.
This red-shielded attack robot is pretty nasty. To beat this guy use your T3-M4 droid's "Shield Disrupter". You
have to make sure that you're near enough to him with the Sheild Disrupter, so get pretty close and keep using it.
Once it's down, have at him.
Move forward and into the elevator. Here you will meet the Sith Governor. He's pretty rotten.
We used a combo of grenades (start with the Poison Grenade so his health is constantly falling) and vibroblade attacks via
Luna Quai, then used many a flurry attack from Bastilla's light saber, and the Force Push move. The T3 droid just kept putting out
grenades when the coast was clear. When the Gov dies, grab from his remains the Taris Launch Codes. YAY! Collect items from the Footlocker and
head back upstairs. Then work your way back past the reception area to Upper City South.
Head to Upper City, from there, go to Lower City. Again, show him your Authorization papers and you can pass
through. Work your way to the Lower City (Javyar's) Cantina. You'll get a cutscene. Canderous will join your party here.
We gave up the droid to put
Canderous on
our team. Another cutscene...this one longer and more in depth. Lord Malak wants Taris destroyed. Lovely. Here you will also
meet
Davik. He gives you a tour. Be polite. You are a guest. You are told to stay within the guest quarters.
You are to find the codes to disable the Hawk's Security System. Collect the goodies in the room. More goodies are in the
Slave Quarters to the NE. You will encounter guards as you work your way past your entrance and through the unlocked doors to the Throne Room.
Head right and kill the three guards. Here is a Computer Terminal. Use it to Open Security Doors if you don't have someone
in your party who can unlock doors. We also used
it to gas the Spice Lab. Head back to your little entrance hall and check out the rooms
behind the newly unlocked doors. Behind one door Rohdian. We ignored him.
You'll also run into a Bounty Hunter. We picked a fight with him, which
brought in another guy. They're easy enough to kill. Collect the goodies in the Footlocker.
Back in the Throne Room, head left. Move down the hall and into the Barracks. Kill the guards.
Continue moving forward through the door. Here there's a door in front of you, and one to your left leading to the Hangar. Go through the
doors in front of you, but remember the Hangar location. Through the doors, move down the large hall. Open the door and some
guards will shoot at ya. Kill them. Go through the east door. Here you will encounter and Bounty Hunter. Kill him and collect
his
Computer Passcard.
If you want, the first door on your left is the Spice Lab. Just guys to kill in here...unless you gassed them earlier like I
did...then
there are just some items to pick up. The room just past it is locked. Unlock it if you can, and collect the goodies inside.
Now, go through the Northernmost door. Kill the droids and and release the man from the cage. This was Davik's old pilot.
He has passcodes we're looking for. Once you have those, head back to the Hangar doors. Hmmm...locked. Luckily, the room to your
left has a Computer Terminal, and you have a Computer Passcard. Log in and disable Hangar Security. Now, move to through the Hangar.
In the hangar you have Davik Kang and Calo Nord to battle. In the heat battle Calo will stand back and threaten to blow you all up.
He dies, himself. Pick up Davik's remains and approach the Ebon Hawk. Choose to board it and off you go to Dantooine.
