Cutscene of Taris getting toasted. You are now in a turret. Shoot the enemy fighters.
When done we chose to land on the Jedi Planet that Bastila suggests, Dantooine. When you land, you are informed in your Journal
that there is a Swoop Bike on the Ebon Hawk. If you can find a track, you'll be able to make some dough. But here's not the
place for that. Here we must visit the Jedi Council to advance the plot some more.
Follow Bastila North to the courtyard area, then
west into the Jedi Council. Just answer their questions politely. They will ask for time. There's a cutscene of you dreaming,
then you are outside with Carth. You must head back to the Jedi Council, but now you can choose your companions.
Carth and Mission
for us. At the Jedi Council, you find
you and Bastila
are linked by your strong force. Yadda, yadda, yadda. You must become Jedi. But first, you must go through training, enduring
the Jedi Trials:
First test: Learn the preceps of the Jedi Code. You are automatically in the Jedi Training area. Zhar Lestin, your
master, is there. He tells you that you have to take the three tests. Go out to the courtyard and talk to Belaya. Ask her about the Jedi Code. She tells you
the code and it's added to your Journal, but here it is anyway: There is no emotion; there is
peace. There is no ignorance, there is knowldege. There is no passion, there is serenity.
There is no chaos, there is harmony. There is not death, there is the Force.
Go back and visit Zhar Lestin in the Training Room. Answer his questions according to the code and you'll pass your first test.
Second test: lightsaber. Go see Master Dorak in the Jedi Council. Choose the color of your lightsaber. Fun.
Answer Dorak's questions to see what kind of Jedi you lean toward, then, select your crystal color. We choose
"Blue - Jedi Guardian" because it's easiest to get through a game when you're best at combat.
Next, go back to the Training Room. Construct your lightsaber.
Third test: You must go to the grove and confront the "darkness" there. There are kath hounds there, too.
Look at your map and go east to the "Outer Courtyard."
Speak with the people in this area, and follow the path east. Jon is one to take note of as he tells the story of the
Mandalorian Raiders
killing his daughter. He begs that you destroy them and you will get a Mandalorian Raiders journal entry.
Cross the bridge and speak to Elise. Ask about her
companion. Tell her you'll help her find her droid. You'll get another journal entry, called Missing Companion.
Head south and pick up anything you want from the vendor.
Continue and
you'll encounter your first kath hounds. They're not hard to kill...just annoying. Be sure to have equipped your new Lightsaber and some nice armor.
Head south and take the "Path South" the the Matale Grounds. More kath hounds. Work your way south to the "Grove." More hounds.
Take
them out and find Bolook to the East on the bridge. Bolook has a murder mystery for you to solve, the Murdered Settler. You must ask the three people (one being a droid) what
happened and tell Bolook. If Bolook doesn't let you answer, you need to question them more.
First answer: Rickard is lying. He says there was a sun glare
on a cloudy day. Second Answer: Rickard. Third answer: The blaster's Handon's, he lied about it being stole.
Fourth answer: The blood didn't belong the the victim, it's Handon's Blood. He's clutching his side. Then,
Bolook will ask you if Handon was alone. Say, no, they did it together. Reason..something to do with having an affair with Caler's wife. Bodda Bing!
Bolook goes away.
After you're done with Bolook, cross the bridge and fight some more hounds. It was after these hounds that we warped back to the
Ebon Hawk, filled up on health, then
purchased a few Medpacs and Adrenal addonsfrom the store near the Ebon Hawk. Then we warped back. Fight any remaining hounds and
head
south. Here you'll run into some Madalorian Raiders. Kill them. Pick up their remains. Near where you encounter them there is a Backpack with
Medpacks inside.
South of these Raiders are the Sandral Grounds. Pass through and kill the beasts in this area, then speak to the droid. This is C8-42, the droid
we're trying to locate for Elise. Send him back, then enter the cave entrance. Crystal Cave, to be exact.
At this point we warped back to the Ebon Hawk to refill everybody's health. While there we ran into Lena who
told us about Mission's Brother (see below). Go back to the Crystal Cave. Fight the Kinraths however you choose.
Then, in the crystal area, grab as many lightsaber crystals as you can. Smash the eggs for normal crystals.
If you like, you can go back to the Ebon Hawk and then to the Training Room to play with your new lightsaber
crystals on the workbench. Either way, exit the Crystal Cave and head to the West, staying in the Sandral Grounds.
More Mandalorians and Duros by a downed vehicle. I suggest sneaking up on them and tossing grenades their way before they see you.
When you've cleared them out, be sure to clean up the area, as they have a lot of treats for you.
Continue moving West and you will have to face many
kath hounds and one nasty albino kath hound. I was stuck here for a long time (partly because the game kept freezing
if I was in solo mode). Anyway, here's how I beat them. Using Mission in my party, I had her use her "stealth" feature
and sneak up between where the kath hounds are and where my party is. Then, I placed the 5 or so mines that I just
got from the Mandalorians. Now, you have a defensive wall if they come charging at you. Then, I switched up
Mission for Zaalbar. My party now consists of me, Carth, and Zaalbar. Using me, I tried to lure each one
of the kath hounds one by one. They'd come a running and then I'd "stasis" each one and then kill it. This worked
for the first 2 or 3 hounds that came charging. Remember to save after each successful kill. That way if you die you
have some of the work done for you. Then, when the albino came charging, along with 2 other kath hounds, I tried
to take out the normal kath hounds first. Then, I went after the albino once he was all alone. By this time, I had
died, but Zaalbar and Carth were still blasting away at him. Try to put a few med pacs into your line-up every now
and again. Also, be sure that all of your party has their defense shields activated. You're going to have to try this
several times. It took me about 8 tries before I killed them. When done, go back to the Ebon Hawk and refill your
energy and then go back.
Continue West across the bridge and toward the outpost (Sandral Estate). You won't
be able to get in because you're not on official family business. Go North to the "grove." Go all the way to the East in the Grove and you'll come to a girl Jedi kneeling in some
ruins, Juhani. She'll incapacitate the rest of your party and you'll have to fight her alone. Save
before fighting her. Use a combination of "Stasis" to freeze her and then whoop on her until she gives up.
When talking to her I chose the "persuade" to get her to turn to the light side. I was not completely successful
in the persuasion. A journal entry will be added saying to either convince her or kill her. I tried all
I could to convince her and wasn't able to so I had to choose kill her. I got some dark side points (oops)
but after I killed her I got antoher lightsaber. Sweet. Two lightsabers. This also completes
the Jedi Trials. Go back to the Training Room and talk to Zhar. He'll tell you your training is complete.
Then, go see the council and talk to the various Jedi. (Going through again with more Persuade powers, we were able to get Juhani to
go back to the Jedi Council and ask their forgiveness). Once this is complete, warp back to the Ebon Hawk and go to the Jedi
Training room. You have passed your final test. You are worthy of joining the Jedi. Nice moves. Now, go speak with the Jedi Council.
The Jedi Council will talk, talk, talk. You are sent to Investigate the Ruins. You are also told of the Sandral-Matale Feud. We'll
worry about this one later.
You now have Bastila in your party. Head to the Courtyard. If you saved Juhani, she'll be here. Speak to her.
Then head out to the East again. On the way out
you can talk to Elise who now has her droid back. You'll get some XP. Head all the way east until you
get to the "Strange Ruins." Open the door and enter. Go through the next door and talk to the droid.
You will learn about the Star Forge...a powerful weapon. You have to prove yourself to get knowledge
of the Star Forge. Go into the door on the East (right) and fight the droid. Have Bastila "disable droid"
and then switch to the ion rifles for everyone else and toast that droid. Now, approach the ancient
terminal and talk to it. Insert your datapad, then talk to it again. Choose Arboreal, Oceanic, and Grasslands. Don't
worry about what happens. Then, go across to the West door. Kill that droid and approach the ancient terminal.
Talk to it, insert data pad, talk to it again until you get to chose Desert, Volcanic, Barren. Now, go through
the door behind the first door you encountered (south). Anyway, you'll get a nice hologram thingy to appear,
it's a map. This objective is complete. Before heading back to the Jedi Council, we're going to deal with the
Sandral-Matale Feud.
From the Ruins head
back to the Matale field and to the central structre. Speak to the droid outside and ask to speak to Matale. He'll tell you why
he thinks the Sandrals and Nurik are responsible for the kidnapping of his son. You are told to head south to speak to the Sandrals.
Head west and over the bridge. You'll run into some Mandelorians. Toast them. Pick up the goodies, including the Mandalorian Datapad. Head
south into the Grove and south again into the Sandral Grounds. Go forward to the structure and talk to the droid.
Tell him you're on Council business, eventually, he'll let you in. Go into the building and talk to Nurik. He'll
get mad if you choose you're on behalf of the Jedi Council. He'll leave and you'll have free reign of the place.
Talk to Nurik's daughter and she'll tell you that Nurik has kidnapped Shen. Jouranl Entry. You now
have a key so exit out and go to the back/side of the structure. Go through the door and kill the droid.
Go through the door to the left of the mine. Kill the 3 droids, use the computer. If you have enough spikes
do whatever you'd like. Continue through the door. Work your way through to Rahasia's Room (Nurik's daughter).
In the Security Room next to her room, in the SW of the map, you'll find a footlocker with the Prison Key.
Backtrack to the Holding Cell (the door with the mine in front of it). Talk to Shen, then, go talk to Rahasia.
She'll go outside the estate and you just have to go back to Shen and talk to him. Cut scene and you'll
see the two families fighting. The two kids will go away. Completed.
Head back to the Jedi council.
Yoda lookalike will tell you that there are other star maps on four different planets. Each is a piece to a larger puzzle. Here is where
you will receive the mother of all journal entries. The one on which the vast majority of this game is based: A Quest for the Star Forge.
You now have to find the rest of the star maps on each of 4 planets. Also, if you didn't kill Juhani earlier, as we did, now will
be the time when she will join your party...yeah, could have used her. Stock up before
you leave if you need to and then go the Ebon Hawk. Head to the "cockpit" and you'll learn about
your Galaxy Map. From this map you can choose to go to the various planets.
First up, Tatooine. Up next...long movie sequence.
