Choose your character. We went with the Female Soldier. Chose "Portrait" to decide what you character will look like. Then
"Attributes". In the "Attributes" menu, we simply selected the recommended attributes by hitting the "Y" button. Again, we went
with recommended "Skills" by hitting the "Y" button. In "Feats", hit the "Y" button for the recommendation, but you have to actually choose
what you want. We chose "Dueling". You then name your character (we named ours Luna Quai, as a tribute to our kitties). Finally,
select "Play", and you'll get the infamous scrolling backstory provided in every Star Wars game/story ever created. Of course, it's a
good one and worth reading.
The game will begin with someone running into a room and telling you the Endar Spire is under attack. Ask him all of the questions
you want. When the conversation is complete, turn around and focus on the Footlocker in front of you. There should be a blue circle
on it indicating your selection. Hit the "A" button to open it up and collect your stuff. Hit the "Start" button and you'll go into
your start menu. Here is the "Equip" menu. There are nine squares. Select which square you want to "Equip". If there's an equippable
item for that body part, they will be listed on your left. Equip what you can. We began with clothing and a short sword.
Since you're in the Start Menu, give it a look. Scroll through the sections with your "L" or "R" buttons. The menu you will
need to pay closest attention to is the "Options" menu. Play around here with Gameplay, Feedback, and Auto-Pause, as they will determine how
you play the game (ie, a "Turn-based" or "Real-time" RPG). You're sure to find your favorite battling style in the mix. Anyway, once that
is done get back into the game.
You should also become familiar with the map. It never rotates so North is always North on the map. When we tell
you a direction it is based on the map, not which way you're facing at any particular time. Also, you can use your D-pad to scroll
up and down through the various "Map Notes" which are the blue bullseye icons on your map. They will tell you valuable
information and we often reference them throughout this walkthrough.
You've collected your equipment, so Trask is in your party now. You need to use Trask to unlock the door. Use
your Black Button to switch to Trask and select the padlock icon to open the door. You will now get a journal entry.
Your very first one. Congrats! Whenever you get a new mission objective or you find out information you'll get a
a journal entry. Some journal entries are vital to getting through the game, others are only sidequests. If they
are vital, they will be in the walkthrough. If they're only a sidequest, they will be detailed seperately. This first journal entry
is called Attack on Endar Spire, and is vital.
Open the next door and here you'll encounter your first enemies. This is your first battle. Use the L and R triggers
to highlight a target and then choose actions to perform. The attacks are turn-based. After you kill
the enemies check their "remains." Then, you are told about med packs. They heal you. Go figure. Heading
East, go through the next door. Kill the bad guys. Open the footlocker, check the remains, and the metal box.
Continue on and fight more Sith Soldiers. You'll get a cut scene of a Jedi fight. Continue on fighting as you go.
All the way to the East you'll come upon the Bridge. Chuck some grenades in there and then fight the remaining guys.
The person you're looking for, Bastila, is not here. Head to the Starboard escape pods by going through the South West
extension off of the Bridge. Then, through the South door (the only one that'll open).
You are now in the Starboard Section. At this point, depending
on your character, you'll use stealth or good ol' firepower to get through the Sith Soldiers.
Make your way West toward the Escape Pods. Along the way you'll find a Computer Terminal in the room
with the 2 Sith Soldiers, central table, and footlocker. Here you can learn
about slicing into computers. Go ahead and overload the power conduit to clear the room in front of you.
Now, go to the Escape Pods and you'll meet Carth Onasi. Choose the last escape pod and use it. We're off to Taris.
